O/T Not trying to be funny, but does anybody live out in the
Countryside? My youngest lad has to draw the moon tonight and I can't find it!! It's probably stuck low behind a house or tree at the moment. Can anybody tell me if its currently in the North, South, East or Western night sky. My lad has to go to bed shortly & he's refusing to go to bed until he's been outside and drawn the moon, like his teacher told him to do.

That's cheating and anyway it might not be round and white at the moment. Come on someone must know where the moon is tonight?
Ok Andy well it'll be in the Eastern sky in Darlo as well. Hopefully it'll appear shortly. Thanks.

But.............. was he told to draw the moon as he actually saw it or just to draw the moon. If just told to draw moon it wont actually be cheating

He says he wants to draw the moon as he sees it through binoculars. He's a 9 year old and won't cheat. I've just been told that he's got to draw the moon for the next month, so this could become very expensive!!!!

The moon is in administration and its light has been turned off. It is rumoured that it costs £600 per month to lease and somebody from Sheff Utd will be removing the Darlington moon from the Arena.Darlo_Pete wrote:Hey this is turning into a mini crisis. However, at certain times of the month(!) the moon needs fewer light pixels - perhaps you could buy one of those moons.
PS - Ever thought of counting the craters on the moon - that would keep the youngster busy.
On a more serious note this another piece of dozy homework from a fuckwit teacher.
The moon does not automatically "come out at night" - this evening it rises at 2316 and sets at 1310 - so it's a very late night or an early morning!

Pete, this is without a shadow of a doubt the best thread you have ever started on this, or any other messageboard.
And I mean that, by the way.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

What a bloody outrage no moon. Went first to Stressholme and there was bloody FOG. Then drove to Broken Scar picnic area and still no moon, although we did bump into a courting couple in a car, sorry if that was you and I hope I didn't put you off your stroke. Then went to between High Coniscliffe and Walworth and still no moon. Now my lads off to bed and I've been given an order to wake him up if I find the moon later. Now that's dedication for you.

Indeed it is, maybe Pete's son should use a baby bell, he can nibble it to size to simulate all the lunar phases.Sussex07 wrote:Isn't the Moon made of cheese ?
