Re: BTB - It's back
Up to 48 K seems to be cracking on this year, anyone know how we were doing at this stage last year?
Re: BTB - It's back
Think we were ahead of that last year http://darlofc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.ph ... &hilit=btb - not by much though and the important period is the final push towards the end of the month.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 1:20 pmUp to 48 K seems to be cracking on this year, anyone know how we were doing at this stage last year?

Re: BTB - It's back
Just done mine again
Surprised this hasn't been mentioned before but
I've just been watching the accompanying interview on YouTube with DJ and it appears the arena has been completely and finally been ruled out .
Not fit for purpose was one of the quotes used.
Hopefully this brings an end to the whole sorry saga of the Arena ever being considered to be our home again
I was one of the many seduced by Reynolds dream of a new stadium but it turned into a nightmare and now onwards and upwards at a new ground in the near future .

Re: BTB - It's back
I think at around this time last year, we were at £71k and we reached £135k, so it's going to take a massive effort to reach the £125k target. Hopefully the usual rush at the end will get us over the line.

The target is £120k.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 8:19 amI think at around this time last year, we were at £71k and we reached £135k, so it's going to take a massive effort to reach the £125k target. Hopefully the usual rush at the end will get us over the line.
Re: BTB - It's back
So in the same time frame last year we gained £64k and this year we are targeting another £64k. Seems doable.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 8:19 amI think at around this time last year, we were at £71k and we reached £135k, so it's going to take a massive effort to reach the £125k target. Re: BTB - It's back
I’m sure there’s plenty left to donate.
I’ll be adding mine in the last week when payday comes around again, I’d have done it sooner but just paid out for a holiday for me and the bairn.
I’m more than confident we will hit 100k easily.

Absolutely no doubt we'll hit £100k. I'm pretty confident we'll hit £120k to be honest but can see that it may be harder this year.AndyPark wrote:I’m sure there’s plenty left to donate.

Re: BTB - It's back
I think last years total raised was £134,725 and there was over 1000 investors. So to get nearly half the total from 245 investors is fantastic and it shows that many fans have to still make a contribution, including me.
Re: BTB - It's back
Wasn't it closer to 700ish investors?Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 8:01 amI think last years total raised was £134,725 and there was over 1000 investors. I may be wrong, it has been known, but I thought it was just over a 1000 investors.e4sby wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 8:07 amWasn't it closer to 700ish investors?Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 8:01 amI think last years total raised was £134,725 and there was over 1000 investors. Re: BTB - It's back
This time last year we were at just over £70K , Griifiths and Mondal signed with Alex Storey signing on for another year. Day before in AA interview with Ray AA stated that " he wanted to wait while other clubs were signing players early; alot of league players will struggle to find clubs and it had flipped; clubs like Darlo that struggled to attract players to the area had changed and fans would be excited about the quality of players he had approached" That didn't quite work out hence I believe we can reach £100Kand hope we can maintain our season ticket numbers despite news on ground or signings.
Re: BTB - It's back
We're on the verge of hitting 50% now, another donation or two should take us there. This time last year we were just beyond half way to the final total, so like-for-like we're a bit behind but this doesn't concern me.
After Armstrong's confidence about the quality of players he would be able to attract last year not materialising, a decent chunk of the budget was probably spent on panic signings who didn't work out. As he's done more of his business early I doubt we'll be in the same boat this time around.

Over half way there.

Re: BTB - It's back
Heading towards 72k at the moment.
Considering how hard times are at the moment, to see our fans club together and raise that amount of money is simply outstanding.
Whatever we make on it is superb. Big respect to everyone.

Re: BTB - It's back
Massive increase in the BTB today, the target of £120k looks doable. I still have to make a contribution, trying to decide how much I can put in.

£45k should suffice, Pete.Darlo_Pete wrote:Massive increase in the BTB today, the target of £120k looks doable. I still have to make a contribution, trying to decide how much I can put in.

80k now up with just over 4 days to go. It will take a big push to reach 120k but hopefully it will materialise over the weekend.

Re: BTB - It's back
Does anyone have figures for where we were up to this close to the end of BTB last year? I seem to remember that there was a flood of money in the last couple of days but I have no idea how much came in during that period last year.

Re: BTB - It's back
Different ways of looking at it, last year we had an extra day as it launched on the 30th April.
Anyhow by close of play on the 27th May it was just over £96k and by COP on the 28th May it was just over £102k.
We are currently on £84.5k, so guessing we will be about £10k/£20k down on last years £138.5k.
I would guess at hitting the target and stretching just beyond, each year the rush at the end gets bigger, with more and more adopting the last minute rush approach.

In the current circumstances I think if we hit the target that will be a really good result.

Re: BTB - It's back
AA will be delighted if we hit £120k, has just missed out on a couple of players apparently but has some in mind from leagues above and the BTB could be key to getting them.
