Tickets were due to go on general sale today, does anyone know if this is happening?

If they are what time are they going on sale?

Have we many left?

That doesn't come as a massive surprise, they probably have hundreds of fans just in the Bish area alone. Gutted I can't make this game, but off to see Darlo_Swede for a few days.

we need to make sure we sell out. I urge people to go to this. It's a big pay day for us, and if we can't sell what I believe to be less than 1000 tickets for OUR fundraiser then I don't see Sunderland offering again

Bit harder this time around as it's a midweek game. I personally can't make it, and others will be in the same boat. We should easily be able to get rid of 750 though. Any clues on how many are left?

Realistically, we've only got Wednesday to sell them now. A bit of an announcement in the 'last remaining few' vein and we should get them sold.

300 sold highlights the need to get things sorted with the the rugby club and get Blackwell Meadows started, afew seasons ago pre season friendlies against Sunderland/Newcastle were getting 8000-10000 in the Arena, 3000-4000 being in the home end, out at Bishop were struggling to sell 750

300? That's embarrassing if correct. Chance to see our new signings hopefully

Designating the match as all ticket puts a lot of people off.

He's perfectly right in what he says, it's a fact that having to call to get tickets before the game, for a preseason friendly that isn't overly appetising in the first place will put people off.

I don't think anywhere he's said it's the wrong decision (which it isn't for the reasons you state) but the truth is it will put people off.

For instance, I'm not bothered - I never am for pre-season friendlies. I'm not interested in seeing Sunderland first team - it would have to be someone unique for me to bother.

Add to that, having to make an extra trip to buy a ticket, then drive through to Bishop and it's simply not a priority for me.

In order to support the club I'll renew my player sponsorship rather than attend a meaningless game.

There's definitely an element of truth in this, particularly because it's a midweek game and the same fixture happened last year. And tickets are a bit more expensive than normal.

And it's only a friendly, so people aren't as fussed about taking time to go and get a ticket.

Also only being able to buy during working hours is not going to help. It is one thing nipping out of work for a play off ticket but not for a pre season friendly! Hope the club send Sunderland some extra tickets so we don't lose out on the money.

the ticket split should have been 250 for Darlo and 1750 for Sunderland, that would guarantee sell out.

Is it still one ticket per person? If I go to the shop tomorrow will I not be able to get two?

If they're on sale tomorrow, then you can probably get 50.

I had similar sentiments. I was way more desperate to get back to see the Bamber Bridge game that Sunderland! I actually see these type of fundraisers as a way of it not being the same people putting money in which it often is.

I think there was some study done and generally speaking Darlo 500 club members are the same people who were supporters club, supporters trust, CIC members and direct shareholders in the club.

I am not seeing this as too much of an indicator of attendances for next year. ST sales will be a bigger giveaway.

I've got my ticket, the way I look at it is this game is a fundraising fixture to kick start the new season and get some money in the coffers, we are a fan owned club so every penny counts, so if you can get down there and buy a ticket. :D
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. The image on the right will be constantly updated with the latest total so please feel free to use the image link below the thermometer on your own signatures, blogs, websites, etc.Image

Just back from Malta and wanted two tickets. Suppose there's no chance of getting two tomorrow morning is there.
Waiting for Raj to shaft them!

But if we've not sold out.

Surely there rest will be put on sale at the game?
