Spennymoor away

Post by Darlopartisan » Tue Dec 29, 2020 6:30 pm

After the away game fiasco last season , i said I would not go to their ground again, obviously with Covid-19 restrictions fans aren’t anyway, so I won’t be buying a pay per view ticket, petty maybe, I shall miss watching Darlo, it will be the first game I’ve not watched

Surely Uncle Brad streams the games for free to boost the viewing figures 😄

I can see this game getting postponed if action is not taken to minimise the freezing of the pitch,
Supposed to get alot colder over the next few days,

Will be all right if they've deployed these...

It must be great having an individual who can put a seven figure sum into your club. The goal area cover alone is at least £500!

Our covers are huge, heavy, back-breaking and holey... as they should be for Quakers :D

Are our covers still fit for purpose, or do they need replacement versions, what's the cost to replace them with the very latest version .anyone

Did Spenny not install undersoil heating at the same time they levelled up the pitch or did they use the same contractors as Boris?

Have they levelled the playing surface, it's better than it was but nowhere near level,

Spennymoor is covered in snow and no chance of melting with current climate

If you had a decent sized fan base you could ask for volunteers to clear any snow off the pitch.

Brad does blow a lot of hot air so perhaps he saved the pitch?

Yer 200 less than Darlington, not a good idea to ask fans with shovels to possibly take chunks out of one of the best playing surfaces in Europe, also it's well below freezing, maybe have a decent crowd for the rearranged game...PRIDE OF COUNTY DURHAM

So polar bear, your saying it's off , so why is the club holding back this information, if it's off then the club need to say so, stop fannying around and get it online, stop people paying for a service that they can't use.

Hang on, surely there is no chance of this match being off. Brad forked out many thousands of pounds on state-of-the-art covers to help maintain a "Football League standard" playing surface.

The manufacturers say the Matchsaver pitch covers are "Ideal for protecting surfaces from waterlogging, frost, snow and organic debris." Just sweep away any snow and game on.

Now you seem to be saying it's probably too cold for the match to go ahead. Eh? Surely that would mean either the covers weren't deployed in time, or at all, or they're fecking useless. Either way it would be a complete dog's breakfast if your prediction is right.

Only 75 bought the stream on saturday, over 1000 more Darlo fans did. Now you were all either breaking covid regulations by socialising together or your amazing support cant even be arsed to watch it on the telly!

Maybe the 75 are the only ones used to paying for the privilege of watching the Pride of Co Durham as all the rest get in for free.

With an owner like Brad Groves, Spenny will need a couple more promotions before they can ever be considered as having a level playing field.

Be fair if he is from Spennymoor is unlikely to have traveled much further than the borders of Co Durham so may not realise that the Earth is not flat but most football pitches are.

Can't see the game going ahead tomorrow. Snow forecast to fall from 7pm tonight through to 6am tomorrow & the top temperature in Spennymoor tomorrow is 1 degrees.

Think I’d rather take notice of the met Office than you.No snow or rain forecast at all until 3 pm tomorrow when there’s a 50% chance of rain .Temperature above freezing all the way.
