Debt
Slipped under the radar this, but good to see the club has cleared the majority (if not all) of the loans due back to fans that borrowed money to the club in 2017 & 2018: https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/thanks- ... ur-finance
This was listed in the 19/20 accounts as £37,337, with an additional £10,000 due to DFCSG by the end of our financial year (30 June 2021).
Negative financial issues get a lot of press, so it's only fair that this is celebrated as a mini-success in terms of the sustainability of our club.

Re: Debt
We must be one of the best run clubs from our step upwards and this is important.
I like the way I won't wake up one morning and hear on the news "Darlington Football Club have gone into administration" - I've heard this too many times before. And if we have to rattle around this league for a few years more that's okay with me, it's a fair trade off.

Re: Debt
And if they don’t go can you see Singh funding them for another 12 months ? It has to be all or nothing in these playoffs.jjljks wrote:Hartlepool are 3-0 up against Bromley in playoffs, but I would rather be clear of debt than in their place. Chances are Pools could go up then Raj pulls in their debt & pop goes their club.

Re: Debt
They'll lose next week to Stockport, it'll be a Torquay Vs Stockport final.

Re: Debt
I watched the second half of Pools V Bromley. There were some beefy looking players on the pitch for both sides and a bit more mobile than Liam Hughes too

I doubt it as the games have been restricted to home fans only since they were allowed back in.jjljks wrote:Wonder if the edict about not travelling to NW due to Indian variant of Covid will affect Poolie fans?

Yes, I agree with this and it does give you a good feeling about 'our' club. I'm not so keen on the slow-drip carping regarding Hartlepool, we should be better than that, and, don't write off Notts - a final with Pools could be a fair game. If you can't say something positive about our old pals, don't.Darlofan97 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 10:54 amSlipped under the radar this, but good to see the club has cleared the majority (if not all) of the loans due back to fans that borrowed money to the club in 2017 & 2018: https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/thanks- ... ur-finance

Poolies make it back to the Football League by the skin of their teeth.
