Breathe boyo, breathe. No need to get so worked up.loan_star wrote:You are a coward every day on here. You try and provoke arguments, talking down to people who you don't agree with whilst hiding behind a user name, never willing to say who you are, yet you demand information such as name and specialty of the doctor who I am friends with. Tough s*** if you don't believe me. You know who I am so come down to where I play cricket this saturday afternoon and meet the doctor face to face and tell him yourself why you think he is wrong, he'll be there and no doubt only too glad to explain his point of view better than I can. You can also tell him you have him in the same bracket as a murderer. However you are a coward who wouldn't dare do that, aren't you!Darlogramps wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 10:13 amAgain, while you withhold information about him, it leads me to doubt this conversation even took place.loan_star wrote: Has it not occurred to you that I may not have pursued the conversation with him to find out why he thinks that way? As I said earlier, doctors can quite often have different opinions and this one obviously does too. Is that too difficult for you to comprehend? .
For instance, why won’t you tell anyone what his specialism is? Either you don’t know, or it isn’t in the appropriate fields for this pandemic. If he was a virologist or immunologist, you’d be shouting that from the rooftops.
However, in the same way your “doctor friend” is allowed a different opinion, I am also allowed a different opinion to your doctor. I’ve considered his views and explained my reasoning as to why I disagree and why I think it’s flawed.
Your evasive, defensive reaction to my considered response makes you a bit of a snowflake to be honest. It makes me think you’re hiding something because you know it undermines you.
Can you explain with an example?loan_star wrote: As for calling people cowards, pot calling kettle there I think.
You’ve twice now dodged the question as to why I’m arrogant for disagreeing with one doctor, but you’re not arrogant when you dismiss hundreds of doctors’ opinions.
That suggests you don’t want to admit your own hypocrisy, which makes you a coward.
You also won’t answer any questions on your friend’s specialism or his opinion. That reinforces the same point.
So I’ve explained my example. Can you explain your criticism with one?
More snowflake behaviour from a hardcore GB News-type. It is interesting how much you all like to play the victim.loan_star wrote: Oh and by the way, using a murderer as an example of why not all doctors should be trusted is as good as comparing my friend to a murderer, even though you claim this isn’t the case. I expect better, even from you.
It’s very clear I used Shipman as an example as to why you can’t say: “He’s a doctor, his opinion counts more.” Granted it was an extreme example but it gets the point across. I was attacking your argument, nothing else.
At no point did I say your friend was like Shipman, and it’s bad faith from you to try and claim otherwise.
All this says to me is you’re struggling with your argument so are resorting to increasingly ludicrous distortions of mine to distract from the point.
So I’m a coward because I post behind a username? Says the man posting behind a username (unless of course you’ve changed your name by deed poll to loan_star).
I actually don’t know your name or who you are. I know your Twitter account, but that doesn’t contain your full name either. Funny that.
So you post behind fake or partial names both on here and on Twitter, yet you accuse other people of being cowards for doing the same.
Come off it fella, you’ve had a shocker there.
I guess you’ll try and claim everyone knows who you are, but I don’t, and it’ll be the case for quite a few on here as well. Perhaps you can prove how much of a man’s man you are by posting under your real name.

This thread is mis-titled - deffo not friendly & no Darlo v Taddy game played!
Re: Darlington V Tadcaster Albion - preseason friendly
Yes you are a coward. You know my twitter account, it has my first name on there and my nickname so only a thicko would struggle to work out my full name. People quite often call me by my name on here rather than my user name.Darlogramps wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 10:29 am

You however hide behind your anonymity whilst calling people worse than shite and talking down to them like you are some fountain of knowledge.
Yet I'd like to bet you would s*** your pants if you tried talking to people you dont know personally like that face to face in case they just gave you a bat.
All this because I said a friend of mine was a doctor who said the restrictions were a waste of time

“Give you a bat” - how old are you? 12? And why is it you always resort to thoughts of violence?
But I’m glad you’ve confirmed you don’t use your full name on here or social media. Proven my point perfectly.
And as you’re behaving like a child in the playground, there’s no real reason to carry this on.
All this because you didn’t like me calling out your friend….

Resorting to thoughts of violence? To me that means you think I want to bat you. Like I would waste my time on a pleb like you!!
I'm not a violent person, however some people are and if you were to talk to them like you talk to people on here they probably would bat you.

OK Rambo. I’ll leave you to tug yourself off at the idea of me getting clobbered.
You’re like the 12-year-old cry-bully at school. You walk around talking about people getting “a bat”. But as soon as someone challenges you, you wet your pants.
Keeping hiding though, and don’t wet the bed

Not really. You’re just doing what you always do - take someone else’s ideas and repeat them back at them. Largely because you lack any sort of imagination or intelligence to think up your own.loan_star wrote:How old are you? 12? All the things you accuse me, you’ve demonstrated yourself in this thread. Cowardice (you won’t answer any questions); hypocrisy (you use fake social media names, but attack others for doing the same); Clown (you struggle with basic comprehension).
Tip for next time - accusations like that carry more weight if you’re not already doing them yourself. Otherwise you look as daft as you do now.

Oh come on now, if you’re going to get the last word you need something better than that. “I know you are, said you are but what am I?” won’t cut it I’m afraid.
Try again. Try thinking up something witty, intelligent and original instead. If you can do witty, intelligent and original that is….

Oh please, that was so obvious so as to be tedious. If you’re wanting to wound me with words, the blunt instrument of abuse will never work.loan_star wrote:Ok then. I must say, for someone with a business of several staff and decent cash reserves, and who counts doctors among your friendship group, for you to be reduced to this level of abuse is quite disappointing. We all expected better.
Come on, have another try. No one watching on ever thinks highly of someone who simply resorts to unimaginative swear words. Try something properly cutting, original and imaginative this time.

Was going to head to Northallerton for the game, but obviously cancelled now.
Will get to 1 of the pre-season home games before the real stuff begins, work permitting
