And I would like to bet we would have 80/100 fans at the game.

What a result.

I feared the worst I must admit.

So pleased for all the Darlo fans that have gone down there tonight, great reward.

Fantastic team performance, every man from 1-11 was outstanding. Cassidy was absolutely class, proving to be a very good signing.

Fantastic support from the 80/90 Darlo fans who made that mammoth journey on a Tuesday night, excellent once again.

Great result. Loved the commentary and constantly wondering if the broadcast or FlashScores will announce a goal first. It was a bit of both tonight. This result will send shockwaves through the non-league pyramid

Simmer yourself down. It’s a good win for us but no one else is fussed about us beating a side who played most of the match with 10 men.

Had we not beaten them (as looked possible when they got their equaliser), then serious questions would have been asked.

But, from listening on DFR, it sounds like a big step up again. Seems Cooper and Storey have started well together. If they can form a good partnership for the next few months, that’ll go a long way to sorting out our issues.

Had my doubts about Cassidy but he’s started really well. Just what we’ve been missing in the last season or two.

Still areas to work on. We did let a side with 10 men back into the game, our centre back pairing have had less than a week together. Also not sure 4-3-3 gets the best out of Charman, potentially our best player. And let’s not forget, up until half time on Saturday, we’d been dreadful all season so far, so there’s catching up to be done.

But things are so much more positive than they were a week ago. Now to keep things going with Chester on Saturday.

Well we did manage to put together a second half performance and got ourselves a great result. Shame we couldn't hold on to a clean sheet, once again caused by not winning the first header and clearing the ball, still work to do on that front but definitely an improvement from what I've seen on other highlights.

But last night is all about the positives. Largely controlled the game against 10 men bar a 10 minute spell in each half, against 10 men I know but we looked good before the sending off and were playing good football moving them around to work our opportunities. Midfield 3 looked strong tonight, very comfortable on the ball. 3 in 3 for Charman, a goal for Cassidy to reward his hard work and another good finish from Hatfield who has added more goals to his game so far this season. Now need to take that level of performance into the FA cup v Chester.

From watching in the night Gramps I don't have such a big worry about wasting Charman in a wider position. He was excellent last night, tidy in his general play, put in a great cross for Cassidy to head home in the first half which was unfortunately offside. Worked hard and kept the ball in for the 3rd goal. And for his goal he did exactly what you want your wider forward to do, following in opportunities on the back post.

Massive credit also needs to go to the fans who went along. Very long trip but vocal support for the team all night.

8-) I hate to gloat but I have to say I'm gloating like mad (about another, partially, spot on prediction). I'd say the rest of the league will have noticed, not just because it was the only result to look at last night, but because it was such a good one. Regarding the sending off, it's well known that 10 men can gell and play above themselves although it sounds as if the decision was just so I wouldn't take the shine off this result.
As for the cup I'm still evaluating the tea leaves but I didn't fancy us to win when the draw was made, now I'm not sure. Very well done. :) :D

Hopefully the kneejerk brigade take notice and listen to AA's interview.

Good prediction Wiseacre. I was quite confident that we were going to lose last night. I couldn't believe how well we started (neither could the Brackley fans that I was talking to - they couldn't understand how we were bottom of the league). Good atmosphere there despite the low crowd - the new bar area was spot on and our fans were superb (sang for pretty much the whole match). Fingers crossed we can put a run going and progress in the cup and move up the table.

An unexpected result, but a very welcome one. Hopefully a corner has been turned in the last game and a half - maybe its fitness after our covid pre-season break, or the signing of Cooper giving a more stable backline, or just the players getting used to each other. Whatever it is, if we can keep things reasonably tight at the back, we seem to have the firepower to score goals in this league. Sounds like Cassidy had a particularly good game - long may he continue to prove people wrong.

Brackley is a temptingly near ground for exiles who live in London, so whilst some diehards made the long trek South, a few exiles came North.great result for those lucky enough to witness it and all those who tuned into the Chipmunks commentary!

No highlights for Brackley I’m afraid so those hardy souls who attended will be the only witnesses

Don't Brackley have to produce highlights?

Put the goals on our youtube channel from the footage they sent. No sound unfortunately and somewhat compressed.

I'd of gone but they weren't allowing us to use their gantry so figured it would be better saving Flexi time etc for a midweek game where I can film from.

352 don't make much sound, was it stunned silence!?
Thanks for your all your reporting efforts

Been said many times on here, but credit where credits due.
After watching the Brackley efforts you realise just how professional the Darlington highlights that Kev and his team produce, so once again thank you.

The footage is poor but the quality of that first goal really shines through. The passing, movement and finish really was something special. Cassidy is emerging as quite a find.

He was a St Evenage for a short time. I asked a few questions from peeps in the know. The reports back were very promising, ‘not good enough for the football league but will do very well at our level’……good enough for me.

Thanks again for all the work you and the others provide a very professional service. However having been given Tuesday night off was very selfish of you not turn up 24 hours later and film the Country Cup match for us! 😀

For me being shoved up a rickety owld non-league gantry with a camera in hand would be a reason to stay away rather than an inducement to attend :D
