Re: Danny Rose
Mentions attacking midfielder but the all knowing twitter suggest he is more holding midfielder. Strange signing as thought we had enough in the centre midfield, however if AA thinks he can improve us then let's see what he can do.
Re: Danny Rose
He’s not very liked by Grimsby fans according to the Twitter and Facebook comments!
We’ll make our own opinion though I’m sure he’ll be a good signing.

Re: Danny Rose
Guessing this is to cover Griffiths injury, with Hedley slotting back into RB until he's fit again and can challenge. Although if we're sticking with 4-4-2 after it worked v Telford then surely Hatfield, Wheatley and Purver gives okay cover for 2 positions. With Lambert also a possibility of we change shape slightly.

Re: Danny Rose
I agree. He's played in 494 games, many of them in leagues one and two so he must have something to offer. Let's just see how he does and not judge him without seeing him in action.
Re: Danny Rose
I think it’s simply that he’s got in touch, come to training, we’ve liked what we’ve seen so have done a deal to have a proper look at him, simple as that. Nothing wrong with trying to sign better than you already haveJE93 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 3:27 pmGuessing this is to cover Griffiths injury, with Hedley slotting back into RB until he's fit again and can challenge. Re: Danny Rose
Asked around about what he’s like and what to expect from my friends down in Grimsby.
- “I think he’s quality mate. Got so much experience and Swindon fans love him. Just never shone under Holloway as the whole team was poor last season and hasn’t had a chance to prove himself this season and is out of favour with Hurst.”
- “Not sure to be honest. I think I saw maybe one performance where he showed what he should have been like but was overall disappointing.”
- “More of a holding player in front of the defence, maybe add some quality to the Darlo team. Might thrive at that level.”
Going by both clubs Twitter feeds, it’s a mixed reaction. Looking forward to seeing him in action tomorrow.
Welcome to the club Danny.

Re: Danny Rose
very happy to make my own opinion. Look at what people at york thought of Cassidy, compared to us. He's got a very decent CV and is still only 33 so should still have something. Always a fan of trying to better the team.

Re: Danny Rose
Was wondering who he was at Telford game as was involved in warm up, now we know good luck to him, hoping he is more Will Hatfield that mondal.
Re: Danny Rose
Rose becomes the 5th player to be added to the squad since the start of the season although 2 are on loan and 2 are non contract we are starting to look a bit overloaded with players. To balance up a bit Hope and Beedon have gone out on loan but would not be surprised to see a couple leave the club permanently in the near future.eddie-rowles wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 8:00 amWas wondering who he was at Telford game as was involved in warm up, now we know good luck to him, hoping he is more Will Hatfield that mondal.

Re: Danny Rose
I am a bit confused by who we currently have in the overall Squad and therefore immediately avaialble for selection. AA quotes as "Places are up for grabs." Rose looks like may only have a week left of his loan yes? Who else (if anyone) do we still have on loan to us and for how long? Beedon, Hope, Sang and Beauchamp all out on loan, are the last two dual registered?Old Git wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 11:17 amRose becomes the 5th player to be added to the squad since the start of the season although 2 are on loan and 2 are non contract we are starting to look a bit overloaded with players. Re: Danny Rose
At a guess I'd say the places up for grabs could be purver for Wheatley, Ellis for storey, Smith if available for hedley, Nelson for charman if his suspension has begun (I think maybe not but somebody else can probably say for definite), and he might look at kds but not sure who'll come in there.

Re: Danny Rose
Think we’ll be seeing a bit of our on loan centre back pairing …. We probably can’t afford not to
