Either way we play Celtic if we beat Southport
Re: FA Trophy round 3
At least it's not Celtic nation, which remains the most feeble attempt at bankrolling a team up the pyramid in history

Brought back memories. The fans disappeared as quick as they started flocking to games as soon as the money man went. Still at least the ground is still in use by a team with more realistic ambition. Anyone hear the rumours that they were a way of getting celtic into the english leagues?
I may not live in the north east anymore but i still support the north east teams

I heard that may have been the gamble that they may progress and almost become adopted.shildonlad wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 9:03 pmAnyone hear the rumours that they were a way of getting celtic into the english leagues?
The shift to a logo which was a clover inside a green circle and green and white hooped strip was probably quite intentional!

If they had ambitions of say the northern premier that would have been sensible, was sure a case of boom or bust. Dont think they were left in debt when frank lynch left, those running the club just lost intrestlo36789 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 9:13 pmI heard that may have been the gamble that they may progress and almost become adopted.shildonlad wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 9:03 pmAnyone hear the rumours that they were a way of getting celtic into the english leagues?
