Osagi Bascome
Horrific news from Bermuda. Seems Osagi Bascome, who played for us a couple of seasons back, has been stabbed to death. Being reported by the Echo.

Awful news, so young! RIP
Re: Osagi Bascome
Tragic news. Such a waste of a young life. Sympathies to his family and friends who must be distraught. Hope the culprit is caught and severely punished.
Re: Osagi Bascome
Yes, that has left me somewhat numb. When my boy was mascot a couple of years back, Osagi was just fantastic with him. A lovely guy.
Re: Osagi Bascome
Terribly sad news.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: Osagi Bascome
I will never forget that day at Walsall, I thought I was genuinely going to die as I had a mild panic attack...
Absolutely shocking, a life taken so young, I hope whoever did this gets caught and thrown in prison for the rest of there lives...

Minutes applause for Osagi in the 23rd minute at Spennymoor away on Boxing Day.

Re: Osagi Bascome
Why not a minutes silence before the next home game? I always dislike these minutes applause at a certain time during the game. What if we score in the 23rd minute? He won't get much respect then will he?
Re: Osagi Bascome
Agree one minutes silence before next home game would be best way, such a shame another young life lost.

A man has now been arrested.
Re: Osagi Bascome
I’m sure we’ll do both. That’s if we’re allowed to attend the next home game of course.Yarblockos wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 1:45 pmWhy not a minutes silence before the next home game? Re: Osagi Bascome
I’ve got to admit, I thought the minutes applause was inappropriate when I read it. What are we applauding? A man being murdered at the age of 23 is heartbreaking. I think a more somber approach is appropriate. (Not really a criticism of Darlo or anyone at the club btw, just a general trend toward this in football).
I still haven’t quite processed that this news is real. Just shocking really. I always wondered what happened to him, I was surprised no one else picked him up to play for them. I guess he was just playing back in Bermuda.
I hope his family receive justice.

Re: Osagi Bascome
Coupled with the news of Harvey McWilliams death (reading between the lines sounds like a tragic suicide), it's a very sad week for all connected with DFC.

Re: Osagi Bascome
Don't recall reading this anywhere but the man accused of murdering our former player Osagi Bascome in Bermuda in December 2021 has been found not guilty.
Unfortunately it means no justice for his family as the police have said there are no further suspects although they have appealed for any further information over the stabbing. It seems most people there stayed silent. Truly tragic case.
