Tyrone O’Neil

Seems we’re back in for him. AA is need of a striker given we’ve only really got Cassidy in support of Charman. Nelson’s injury means unfortunately he can’t be relied upon.

Also interesting to read about a National League club coming in for Charman over the summer. Fair play to Charman for not throwing his toys out of the pram this season.

There’s no way Charman will be here next season which, so long as we get a good fee when he moves on, will be fair enough.

Well done to AA to plug the gap if Luke goes or gets suspended.Could form a really good pairing alongside Cassidy.

I wonder if this is also something of an admission that Andrew Nelson is a lost cause and is unlikely to play any further part this season.

Think it's more likely that Charman is on his way :(

Sounds like this could be Charmans last game for us to me. No way do we sign Tyrone yesterday without knowing the appeal outcome until next week unless we already know he is on his way anyway. Or worse, he isn’t playing today?

No issues as long as we get a good fee with clauses which am sure we will. Sure he can play in the football league and cannot stop a young lad progressing. He will be sorely missed as been a while since we had a forward who could score all the types of goals he has and gives the crowd that anticipation when he gets the ball around the box.

If it is the case then signing off with the winner today would be useful!

I was under the impression the club would have the decision on the appeal today.

Read in the report that the decision/outcome has been put back. No explanation given for the delay.

Many happy returns Tyrone. Happy to welcome him back and a good bit of business for us with Nelson sadly not being fit and Charman possibly moving on. Clearly hasn’t worked out for Tyrone at Scunthorpe, but they have been struggling all season, and presumably he is likely to become a free agent in the Summer. Hopefully this move will give him an opportunity to get some game time and a chance to get a contract with us for next season if all goes well.

Good business by the Club. Charman will go and good luck to him. Onwards and upwards life is never dull at Darlo!

They don’t have the funds, Bradford City a strong rumour.

That seems like a good fit. Bradford really struggle to score goals but he could probably benefit from working alongside the likes of Andy Cook and Gareth Evans day to day.

Good to get O'Neill back - hopefully he can do what Charman has done and establish himself as a top striker at this level - the ability is there I'm pretty sure.

This, and Armstrong's interview, seems to be suggesting Charman will be on his way imminently, which is not a surprise and completely deserved. Be interesting to see what type of deal we can get.

I've heard that Bradford are in for Chapman, quite possibly his last game for us today.

I am hopeful that Charman will stay until the end of the season, I think the signing of Tyrone shows how far Nelson is away from playing. The Nelson signing was a gamble but it hasn't paid off unfortunately.

I might have to retract that, I see Scunthorpe has sold Ryan Loft to Bristol Rovers, that's two strikers they are down so they will defo be in the market for a striker or two.

If Charman does go how about a short term loan of Harvey saunders from Rovers understand he was recovering from injury and short of match fitness?

Bradford have just signed a striker on loan from Luton and Scunthorpe are skint and will be looking at loan players from what I believe. Charman will be staying with us for a while longer

Rochdale being suggested was an interesting one.

Managed by Robbie Stockdale still lives in Yarm as I understand speaking to him and believe he was at Boro with Alun?

Not for me... Though he was a local lad and quite a few fans rated him, he was never a regular goal scorer.
We made some good money from selling him and let's leave it at that..

He was also barely out of his teens and has been training full time for three years now so I'd imagine he'd be more than capable of dropping back down a couple of levels.

Not that I expect we'll be in for him.

On a separate note, was Robbie Stockdale not interviewed for our managers job when Armstrong got it? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

Beck was recalled by Harrogate due to injuries and Covid.
