Yes, at the point we were told we could have a max attendance which was a small percentage of ground capacity owing to a pandemic.
Only then was it worth it due to what would have otherwise been a bigger deficit in gate receipts.

Moving to the Arena would only make sense if we had to for ground capacity reasons. In other words if we reached the EFL and didn’t have our own ground that was up to scratch. That looks highly unlikely given our current position and that we can barely compete at NLN level on our present budget.quaker4life wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 10:18 pmThe Arena is a Rugby Stadium and has been for the better part of the last decade.Darlobill wrote: So if a new ground may take at least 5-7 years to happen why not move to an actual football stadium in the town the Arena.
Moving there, at best, would be a step to the side, we would be leaving one Rugby ground which we rent to then rent another, also the Arena is in a relatively poor state of repair these days.
Fat Josh may have been on to something when he claimed it won't pass it's next 10 year inspection.
No different to the somewhat dim-witted attempt to make 'woke' some kind of an insult. As if awareness of, and objection to, racism and injustice is in some way a bad personality trait to have. Oh, and do-gooder. Who in their right mind would want to be doing good?

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

No it did not, but the vitriolic response by some to the meeting with Nadine Dorries was a slur against both DJ and the club.
Objecting to racism and injustice, which the majority of us do, is not a bad personality trait to have but opting to use opposing racism and injustice as a means of justifying loutish and ignorant behavior is.Spyman wrote:

Would surely help, but it is a big ask for players to train 3 times a week if they have full time jobs outside of football. Many of our players have a fair commute and it could be very tiring. Don’t forget there will be 4 extra games as well to fit in next season. Maybe, we could have the option of an extra session, but only use it if really needed.theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:13 pmMoving to three training sessions a week must be pushed through. Two sessions a week simply isn’t enough time to get through all the work that needs to be done, and this could explain why we sometimes blow hot and cold.
The third session, tactics via Zoom? Everyone pay attention and no slacking…..Old Git wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:42 pmWould surely help, but it is a big ask for players to train 3 times a week if they have full time jobs outside of football. Wonder what happens with player contracts etc. Would you turn up at work an extra 33% of the time for no extra remuneration?theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:13 pmMoving to three training sessions a week must be pushed through. Not sure it will be 33% but that aside, no.

It is isn't it? Currently we have our players 3 out of 7 days per week (Match or training depending on what fixtures are).
If we are adding a day then it becomes 4 out of 7 days. Not sure there is any other way to calculate it other than an extra third.
Considering full time teams are 5 out of 7 we are getting very close.
