At one point the DFCSG board were contemplating it so not sure why thats not discussed anymore.
Yes, at the point we were told we could have a max attendance which was a small percentage of ground capacity owing to a pandemic.

Only then was it worth it due to what would have otherwise been a bigger deficit in gate receipts.

The Arena is a Rugby Stadium and has been for the better part of the last decade.

Moving there, at best, would be a step to the side, we would be leaving one Rugby ground which we rent to then rent another, also the Arena is in a relatively poor state of repair these days.

Fat Josh may have been on to something when he claimed it won't pass it's next 10 year inspection.
Moving to the Arena would only make sense if we had to for ground capacity reasons. In other words if we reached the EFL and didn’t have our own ground that was up to scratch. That looks highly unlikely given our current position and that we can barely compete at NLN level on our present budget.
As for Fat Josh I suspect you may be right he is probably on to something or at least on something 😂

Social justice warrior.
Did it become a slur to be seen to fight for social justice.
No different to the somewhat dim-witted attempt to make 'woke' some kind of an insult. As if awareness of, and objection to, racism and injustice is in some way a bad personality trait to have. Oh, and do-gooder. Who in their right mind would want to be doing good?

Anyway, we digress....

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

No it did not, but the vitriolic response by some to the meeting with Nadine Dorries was a slur against both DJ and the club.

Objecting to racism and injustice, which the majority of us do, is not a bad personality trait to have but opting to use opposing racism and injustice as a means of justifying loutish and ignorant behavior is.

I have found this to be particularly prevalant amongst the "woke" left where acting in an aggressive, hostile, rude or abusive manner towards someone (if it's done under the guise of virtue signalling) who holds an opposing view is apparently acceptable.

Who in their right mind would even think that behaving in such a manner is "doing good"? If you are amongst those who directed bile towards DJ and the club because she is a Tory MP let me assure you, you do not stand for anything you are a buffoon.

Meanwhile, back to the subject, I thought that the forum was very good. The money guy explained the finances in an easy to understand way and D.J. Is up to all sorts of big stuff behind the scenes. We are lucky to have these people working for us.

Thought the commercial update was important as well given the upset over things the other season. The marginal drop in revenues was more than offset by the drop in cost of sales.

Moving to three training sessions a week must be pushed through. Two sessions a week simply isn’t enough time to get through all the work that needs to be done, and this could explain why we sometimes blow hot and cold.

Would surely help, but it is a big ask for players to train 3 times a week if they have full time jobs outside of football. Many of our players have a fair commute and it could be very tiring. Don’t forget there will be 4 extra games as well to fit in next season. Maybe, we could have the option of an extra session, but only use it if really needed.

Wonder what happens with player contracts etc. Would you turn up at work an extra 33% of the time for no extra remuneration?

It will be easier to mandate with any new signings of course as it will be expected at signing on time.

As I understand most FL clubs have a schedule similar to below.

Saturday - Match Day
Sunday - Recovery / day off
Monday - Speed / Prep session
Tuesday - Match Day / intense session
Wednesday - Recovery / day off
Thursday - intense session
Friday - Speed session / Prep session

It is those Monday / Friday sessions which we miss. These won't be matchday intensity but will be where more work is done on tactical set up and prep incl. opposition review.

Pro teams have the benefit of being able to do those sessions the morning before a matchday. I can't see that it would be beneficial to our players to be doing it the night before.

Not sure it will be 33% but that aside, no.

Extra payments as and when would need to be factored in and D.J. said it would cost more during the online forum.

Makes sense. I can't actually know how it will impact on bringing in players in terms of quality / competitiveness.

It is isn't it? Currently we have our players 3 out of 7 days per week (Match or training depending on what fixtures are).

If we are adding a day then it becomes 4 out of 7 days. Not sure there is any other way to calculate it other than an extra third.

Considering full time teams are 5 out of 7 we are getting very close.

Yep, I see what you mean. If all the sessions are the same time then it would be an extra third. What was confusing me was having 4 thirds, if you follow my drift?

Anyway, i still feel the 'classroom bit' could be done online at a length of two hours. No one has to leave home.
