Fylde v Darlo

I get the point you’re making. But Cooper didn’t come in until Game 4. Ellis and Lawlor later than that.

Feels pretty harsh to say they’re part of “one of the worst defences in the league” when they weren’t here for the worst part of it.

If you took a job in sales in January, and your boss criticised you for not selling anything from April to December, you’d be pretty miffed I think.

So in that sense, you absolutely can pick and choose and it’s a little simplistic to say “there’s only one stat that counts”. It’s more complex than that.

Fantastic performance as we lead 1-2, Dos Santos goal sounded like a goal of the season. 87 minutes gone, come on lads hang on.

6 mins of injury time, I can barely face listening to the commentary.

I don't believe it, we've won 1-2. Great to hear the Darlo fans singing. Best performance of the season, when you consider the standard of the opposition.

So disappointed that we couldn't get there tonight. Typical that we missed a big North West win but well done lads, maybe quieten the doubters for a while.

Great result tonight when you least expect it we pull off a great win. Who would of thought our first double of the season would come against Fylde. Credit to Alan for ringing the changes and really pleased KDS proved to be the match winner. Hope he now gets a decent run in the team for the rest of the season.
As we seem to enjoy playing the top teams roll on Chorley on Saturday.

Alun out.

Can't believe we only scored twice away from home at one of the league's top teams and failed to keep a clean sheet.

He's not the man to take us forward for the next season.

Lost the dressing room, I tell you. Lost the dressing room, he has.

To be honest it's indicative of what we all knew. We have the quality just not the consistency and I think stability.

The squad needs to be developed not torn apart.

Two wins and a draw. Twice we’ve come behind to get results, and tonight we didn’t fall apart when Fylde got their equaliser.

More progress needed but I hope we’ve turned a corner. Definite improvement in the last three games.

9 wins in 28 league games. Is that good enough for you? Superb result tonight - if we had any sort of form against the lower teams this season we would be in the playoffs! Can we back it up on Saturday, hopefully we can, I will be there.

Just short of 1 in 3. Considering we had a big rebuild, a disrupted pre-season with several Covid outbreaks, losing both our best players in the last 12 months (Sousa and Charman).

In that context, I think we’re doing pretty much as I expected this season, particularly after such an awful start.

And I think the evidence of the last three matches suggests things are turning around. Have to keep up the consistency undoubtedly, and there’s work to be done over the next six months.

But to me, given the awful start to the season, and that we’ve lost our best player mid-season, we’re roughly where I thought we would be.

Here’s to a strong last couple of months of the season.

Our problem is that we are just so inconsistent. We never know which team is going to turn up.

Completely agree with you. KDS has shown glimpses of being a really exciting footballer and deserves an extended run in the team. He could be potentially our next player that we could develop and sell for a profit, and that will only happen if he is playing regularly. Hopefully we will be talking to him regarding next season and get him under contract.

Great win last night. Everyone involved deserves credit including the fans who travelled. You could hear them in the background of the DFR broadcast all night.

Once again we show what we can do, which is where a large amount of the frustration comes from, that performances haven't been up to this standard frequently enough, especially against the sides down at the bottom.

The way I see it things AA has to prove for the rest of the season is that he is capable of leading the team and providing results over a 10 game period that delivers c.1.8 points per game. If you do that over a season you'll more than likely be a playoff side at the end of it. The closest we have come this season is 1.6 points per game being from the 5-1 Guiseley home win to the 6-0 away win at Farsley. The 1.8 ppg isn't an absolute level and certainly losing Charman will make it tougher. But I think if you offered AA the Defence we currently have and the CMs we currently have at the start of the season he would have been happy. So there should be no excuses about us defensively for the rest of the year. Going forwards, as I say losing charman is a blow and unfortunately so far this season Cassidy hasn't provided the kind of goal return we need to match his work rate missing good chances to change the game vs Kettering, Guiseley and Gloucester. O'Neill and Mondal need to step up and stake a claim as to where they should be around next season.

Really want AA to bring success here because I think he's trying to play football and he gets the club and fan base, where we are right now and where we want to be. Another tough game on Saturday against Chorley but we've proven we can mix it with some of the best teams in this league. Certainly wouldn't be a bad point if we could manage a draw at home but the team have earnt that perspective by delivering 7/9 points in the last 3 games.

Don’t think many of us saw that coming, particularly with resting some of our key players! Credit to AA for going with fresh legs and maybe a point to prove.
Particularly pleased for Storey and think with one of the experienced players alongside him he is a much better player and deserves to play Sat even if Ellis fit.
Consistency as we know has been our problem so let’s hope we continue recent results against Chorley.

Fantastic performance and result by AA and all of the lads, praying we can replicate this type of performance this weekend, all we want is a bit of consistency even if a few draws follow etc

There was also a small handful in the seats allocated to away fans
