It’s quite apt that Dick Turpin is buried in York. £20 for a division 6 match!

wait until you see what Kings Lynn will be charging next season when (if) they come back down...and that is for standing. York at least is nominally for a seat

I mean that is the reality of the economics of football isn't it.

You can get tickets at £20 and less in the Premier League (Twenty is plenty). The reality is the PL could charge £0 for match admission and it would have a negligible impact on their actual revenue.

With the capacity crowd and £250,000 of television money to boot Boro could have charged £5 a ticket and they would have still had a greater revenue than usual league games.

As you go down the pyramid the reliance on gate revenues increases quicker than costs of operating decrease.

Absolutely spot on. At least we have Ebac and a number of other local firms contributing to our revenues. Wonder what will happen to Chelski when the GazProm cash is turned off.

Thanks for that, we'll be eating and drinking in the city centre, before the game.

Whilst york seemed steep compared to most at this level, i would like to know how you get premier league game tickets for around same amount. At least york aint too far away so whats a extra fiver compared to travelling to say hereford. Whilst bootbam crescent was crumbling could not beat location and it had good club house. Only pub near new ground is some green king carvery place
I may not live in the north east anymore but i still support the north east teams

https://www.premierleague.com/news/1536 ... 0or%20less.

- Most fans (53 per cent) continue to pay £30 or less per match.
- The average price paid for a Premier League ticket is £32, compared with £31 in 2018/19 and £32 in 2017/18.
- 21 per cent of fans pay £20 or less per match.
- 52 per cent pay between £20 and £40.
- 20 per cent pay between £40 and £60.
- Only six per cent pay £60 or more

I am not sure but 1 in 5 people do according to this. I am sure there was a scheme called twenty is plenty for away tickets as well but it might have fizzled out.

Think it is now £30 per ticket for away fans as a maximum in Premiership now. Think scheme is due to expire at end of this season. not sure if any future agreement has been reached

Unless I’m mistaken it looks like they’re only selling tickets in 2 blocks for Tuesday night, blocks C and D. Would have thought we will take more than that no bother at all!

Yes they we will take more, but I presume they'll want us grouped together & they'll release more seats as they see how many Darlo fans are turning up.

The beer in the ground is freezing, it was John Smith's and some larger, but far too cold to drink and enjoy. Parking outside Next and M&S is free on a night I understand and quicker to get out than the clubs parking (,on Saturday you have to buy something for a ,£5 in one of the shops and get receipt validated if you park in the shop area). I am hoping we take a good number who are willing to sing and the drummer, as York have let loads of kids in lately and they are loving it, and making lots of noise, with crowd over 1k up, and hope we can match them both on ,( with great football), and off the field (with noise)😁.

Unless it's frozen solid, how on earth can beer be too cold to drink and enjoy?

I like my beer, and do drink a fair amount i would say and enjoy every last drop, and the pint in the stadium took me a while to drink as it was far to cold for me to even get a taste, you maybe a man who can drink freezing cold beer and enjoy it, not me I am afraid, drank a bottle of water on the next visit. By the way I was not the only one who mentioned it🍺🥶

Definitely buy tickets in advance online - the queue at the ticket booth on the night is normally massive

I emailed the Vangarde shopping Park and they confirmed you can park for free after 6pm, that's by m&s, next and John Lewis. I think it's about a 3-4 minute walk from there.

Yes you can park at vangarde for free after 6pm, it's not even 3-4 mins away, it's less than a minutes walk 👍 what do you think of your chances tomorrow night? Have you been playing well?

Yes playing well at the moment, doing better against good sides than poor ones ;) . Should be a good open, entertaining game I would think, with both teams needing the win and the result depends on whether our lass and I are talking after (She is a York City season ticket holder) .

Parking is free at monks cross as has been said. I think that the number 9 bus which goes by the train station, (on the other side of the road from the station I understand), to the park and ride at Monks Cross, 5 mins walk from the ground, but think the last bus back from the park and ride is not long after 9.30pm. I bought my ticket at the ground yesterday and they informed me that there are buses available straight after the game (think it is at the back of the stand?), but they fill up quickly and leave as soon as they are full and no more come. Worth checking as not used either busses before but will be on Tuesday night .

There is a family pub, the pear tree about 15 min walk away which does food.
