Terrific effort from Darlington FC fans with an excellent turnout of donations, brings a lump to the throat.

I didn't hear how much was raised. But the person before me put in a tenner, as I did and the person behind me did the same as well. It was great to see the team play in blue & yellow.

Glad to see the collectors had a nearly full van as I brought my contribution. Lots of fans gave & made the effort to show solidarity through sporting blue & yellow colours to match the lads in their changed strip. DFC demonstrated what being a community club really means, well done to all concerned.

Any idea how much was raised by the bucket collection?

I have just finished counting the monies dropped into the 4 donation buckets from yesterday.

More proof of how wonderful we are as a club and supporters.

The sum raised was an absolutely amazing £ 1401.
