Gateshead;
Top 12 games remaining; Darlington (H) 18/04, Kettering (A) 23/04, Southport (H) 30/04, Chorley (A) 02/05, Hereford (H) 07/05;
No Game tonight; Gateshead with more Top 12 games to play fall to second place after Brackley’s goaless draw at Curzon Ashton tonight

Fylde;
Top 12 games remaining; Hereford (H) 09/04, Southport (A) 15/04, Boston (A) 23/04, Kettering (H) 30/04, York (A) 02/05;
No Game tonight; They benefitted from Alfreton’s win at Kidderminster by keeping the same 4 point gap but now both teams have seven games to play.

Kidderminster;
Top 12 games remaining; Southport (H) 09/04, Kettering(H) 18/04,Darlington (H) 07/05;
Kidderminster 0-1 Alfreton; Kidderminster’s chance to close the gap to 1 point behind Fylde was lost after they conceded the only goal in the 74th min to lose to Alfreton. They will be looking for better form on Saturday at home to struggling Southport.

Chorley;
Top 12 games remaining; York (H) 12/04, Gateshead (H) 02/05, Spennymoor (A) 07/05;
Chorley 2-1 Boston; Chorley led at half time before Boston tied the score in the 54th min. Chorley’s winner after 68 mins secured the three points and pushed them seven points in front of York who lost away 0-2 to Kettering.

York;
Top 12 games remaining; Brackley (A) 09/04, Chorley (A) 12/04, Spennymoor (H) 15/04, Fylde (H) 02/05;
Kettering 2-0 York; A big set back for York tonight, conceding two goals in the first 12 mins to lose 0-2 at Kettering. They now have to go to top of the table Brackley on Saturday.

Southport;
Top 12 games remaining; Kidderminster (A) 09/04, Fylde (H) 15/04, Spennymoor (H) 23/04, Gateshead (A) 30/04;
No Game tonight; Southport did not play but now find Kettering as well as Darlington tied with them on 50 points, Southport and Kettering both with eight games to play, Darlington with seven remaining. Southport will need to find form on Saturday with a very tough game at Kidderminster who will want to bounce back after tonight’s 0-1 home loss to Alfreton

Darlington;
Top 12 games remaining; Gateshead (A) 18/04, Brackley (H) 23/04, Kidderminster (A) 07/05;
No Game tonight; Alfreton’s big win at 4th place Kidderminster will have Alfreton excited for their home game on Saturday against Darlington. Alfreton are probably too far back (6 points) from 7th place Southport to make the playoffs but they could spoil other teams playoff hopes. Alfreton’s home record of 4 7 5 while their away record of 8 1 9 suggests they have better days away. I’m hoping they struggle again on Saturday and the Quakers come away with point(s)

Kettering;
Top 12 games remaining; Kidderminster (A) 18/04, Gateshead (H) 23/04, Fylde (A) 30/04;
Kettering 2-0 York; A huge 2-0 home win over 6th place York with the goals scored in the first 12 mins. Kettering rise two places to 9th place, they have the same goal difference (+6) with eighth place Darlington who have score more, Kettering’s goal difference is inferior to seventh place Southport (+10)

Boston;
Top 12 games remaining; Brackley (A) 18/04, Flyde(A) 23/04;
Chorley 2-1 Boston; Despite tying the game in the 54th min, Boston went down to a Chorley 68th min winner. Boston falls below Kettering to 10th place after Kettering’s 2-0 home win tonight over York.

Hereford;
Top 12 games remaining; Flyde (A) 09/04, Spennymoor (A) 30/04, Brackley (H) 02/05, Gateshead (A) 07/05;
No Game tonight; Hereford fall 1 place to 11th after Kettering’s big win home to York.

Spennymoor;
Top 12 games remaining; York (A) 15/04, Southport (A)23/04, Hereford (H) 30/04, Chorley (H) 07/05;
Spennymoor 0-2 Bradford; Spenny’s chances to improve their playoff hopes were ruined with having Curtis sent off in the first half, then conceding two second half goals.

Going for the league championship, Brackley’s draw at Curzon Ashton has them a point in front with seven games to play.

The playoff third group, those occupying fifth thru seven places, Chorley pull further away from York with a 2-1 win tonight over Boston. York’s 0-2 loss at Kettering burns up a game in hand, York now have to go to league leaders Brackley on Saturday. Southport did not play tonight.

Kettering jumped above Hereford (who did not play tonight) and Boston who lost 1-2 at Chorley. Spenny also had a chance to reach 50 points but lost 0-2 home to Bradford.

Predictions
Champions Brackley, less Top 12 opponents to play than Gateshead (4-5)

Playoffs participants;
Gateshead Fylde, Kidderminster, Chorley, despite Kidderminster’s home loss tonight. Chorley is pulling away from the other playoff hopefuls.

The remaining two places.
Choose from York, Darlington Kettering.

Southport are struggling (two draws, three losses in the last five games) and could slide out of the playoff slots soon.
York may wobble but regain momentum approaching season’s end, they have already lost the first of four straight tough league games Kettering (0-2). York still have Brackley (A) 09/04, Chorley (A) 12/04, Spennymoor (H) 15/04 in the next ten days.
Darlington need to keep it going, hopefully with a positive result next week at Alfreton, Kettering have a chance of three points when they travel to Farsley on Saturday, Farsley may have a little more confidence after beating Guiseley 1-0 at home tonight.

Looking at the teams below us in the hunt for a play-off place, only Kettering have a game in hand. Saturday at Alfreton is a massive game. Great update Ginge.

7th is massively up for grabs here - York would need a significant decline with the games in hand, but that could also happen. One game at a time, a win would be massive as we are the team with momentum at the moment.

York have won 1 in 5 or 2 in 7, their form isn't great currently.

Now they are in the box seat but current form doesn't suggest anything great and their next 4 games are, A v Brackley, A v Chorley, H v Spennymoor and A v Alfreton.

They will have cemented their playoff place in those 4 games or be right back in the pack with little to no advantage.

This next week and half finishing on Bank Holiday Monday will be massive, after that everyone will know where they are.

Thank you Darlo_Pete, even midweek games with less matches take about an hour to crank out :) It was good York lost but it brought Kettering up to the front of the chasing teams. Yes, Saturday at Alfreton is a massive game.

Thanks jjljks, there will be a lot to write about after Saturdays games, hopefully with a great result for the team. A win for us, maybe a loss for York, that would be really good, adding to the excitement.
