Comments

Going for the league championship, both teams won their home games, Brackley still favourites to win the league.

01. Brackley....... 36 15 2 1... 9 7 .2. 49 19. 30.. 81
02. Gateshead.... 36 15 1 2.. 10 4 .4. 81 40. 41.. 80

The playoff second group, Fylde get their last min winner, Kidderminster had their huge 6-0 win over Southport, the four point gap remains.

03. Fylde.......... 36 12 2 4... 9 4 .5. 60 33. 27.. 69
04. Kidderminster 36 12 2 4... 7 6 .5. 65 30. 35.. 65

The playoff third group, those occupying fifth thru seven place, Chorley are now seven points clear of the chasers with both York and Southport who lost being replaced by Boston and Darlington. Kettering and possibly York can move into this group if better form is found. At this point Boston with points acquired look better off than York with games to play.

05. Chorley ....... 35 11 3 3... 5 8 .5. 55 39. 16.. 59

07. Darlington.... 36.. 9 3 6... 5 6 .7. 54 48. ..6.. 51

The playoff chasers, all change as now struggling York and Southport fall into this group. Kettering lead York by goals scored, York’s game in hand will be played at Chorley so no easy game. Spennymoor’s late winner keeps them in the pack as Hereford fall to the bottom of the Top 12. This group can move up if they can find better form, any games in hand have to be converted into points, something York is struggling with.

12. Hereford...... 36.. 8 4 6... 5 5 .8. 44 44. ..0.. 48

Predictions
Champions Brackley, less Top 12 opponents to play than Gateshead (3-5)

Playoffs participants;
Gateshead Fylde, Kidderminster, Chorley all moving towards mathematical certainty

Boston, Darlington. York and Southport are struggling and need to show an improvement that will give them point(s) in games.
York’s wobble may continue for two games Chorley (A) 12/04 and Spennymoor (H) 15/04 before they might turn it around. Darlington are in 7th place, they have to take their chances and win games to keep themselves there. Boston will need to get something from two tough away games Brackley (A) 18/04, Flyde(A) 23/04 later in the month.

Good analysis, thanks Ginge01. Many of us are a bit stunned that we currently lie in a play-off place even though we missed 2 pens. Truth is plain, we must put away our chances and need to win every game to keep things in our own hands.
Couple of months ago, anyone would have told you that our chances of a play-off spot were very slim. Now there is a real prospect of keeping our season going until the very last game. Keep the faith, Darlo fans!
