Going for the league championship, no change tonight, Brackley still favourites.

The playoff second group, no change tonight, the four point gap remains.

The playoff third group, those occupying fifth thru seven place, Chorley are now eight points clear of the chasers with their draw at home to York tonight. York’s point with their late equaliser lifts them back up to sixth place, Boston drop to seventh, Darlington are pushed out. Darlington’s missed penalties on Saturday, Southport conceding a tying 93rd min equaliser tonight, Kettering losing to bottom place Guiseley tonight, teams are showing how missed opportunities will keep them out of the playoffs when it is this tight.

07. Boston......... 36.. 9 4 5... 6 3 .9. 55 51. ..4.. 52
The playoff chasers, Darlington rejoin this group. Anyone of these five teams who can show some consistency can get into the playoffs. It might be a little too much for Hereford to pass five teams to get in with six games to go.

Predictions
Champions Brackley, less Top 12 opponents to play than Gateshead (3-5)
Playoffs participants;
Gateshead Fylde, Kidderminster, Chorley all moving towards mathematical certainty
York Boston. York tough stretch of three Top 12 away games is over, the teams below them did not win all their games, York only have two tough Top 12 games left to play. Whoever can get the most points from playing other Top 12 opponents will get the seventh place, can Darlington do it with games against Gateshead (A) 18/04, Brackley (H) 23/04, Kidderminster (A) 07/05. Two wins from these three games would give them a great chance to get in the playoffs. For now, I think they are going to come up a little short in eighth place, that would still be a good improvement on past seasons and hopefully we can start next season with similar form to what has been shown the last couple of months.

Thanks Ginge, great review again.
I actually think we will just fall short also but I think that's me just playing it safe, we all know anything can happen and we have the best form.
What an exciting end to the season, let's be honest after Guiseley away I genuinely wondered if we could pull out of the downward spiral. Each set of fixtures are exciting now, York v Spenny on Friday seems massive for them both - we need to beat Curzon and move from there.

We could do it but the margin for error is slim. Three points on Friday are essential and if we could manage that then we could be right in the mix.

I agree super_les, it all starts with beating Curzon Ashton and see what happens after that.super_les_mcjannet wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 9:58 pmThanks Ginge, great review again.
