Re: BTB - It's back
A little over £6,500 has been invested today alone. Fantastic.
Re: BTB - It's back
89,495 in the pot, 30k to hit the target. What a fantastic day.

Re: BTB - It's back
Final 3 days plus what dropped in just after was £36.2k last year.
We look like £120k should be achievable at this point, which will be quite a positive for us moving forward into next season. AA interview sounds like he knows we have to be ready from day one and these slow/poor starts to the season won't be accepted.

Re: BTB - It's back
There were three lots of £1,200, now there only one, so it seems someone made a mistake.

Re: BTB - It's back
Over £100k now. Looks like we might get close to the target.

Re: BTB - It's back
The home straight surge is well and truly underway.
Re: BTB - It's back
Yeah, zipping up now. When you consider the current circumstances everyone is facing it's pretty remarkable.
Re: BTB - It's back
105k up
I'm staggered, in the current climate, that we even got close to 6 figures to be honest. Kudos to everyone who has contributed (or who will over the next day or so!)

Re: BTB - It's back
Going very well last couple of days. 90% there and until midnight tomorrow to get the target met. I still believe we will better the target maybe not beat last year's but close to it. com on fans it's your club let us get this over the line.

Nearly £108k now, brilliant effort from the best fans in non league football which will help AA massively towards hopefully building a strong squad.al_quaker wrote:105k up

Absolutely superb, I didn't think we'd get anymore than 100k.

Re: BTB - It's back
I remember last season the BBC made a big thing of Exeter raising £50k from their fans. It just goes to show how special our fans are.

Re: BTB - It's back
Less than 10k until we hit the target of 120k. It would not surprise me if we get close to last year's total of 138k.

Re: BTB - It's back
Staggering if we get near last season's total given the way things are.
You wonder if it would be prudent for the club to make extra provisions for pledges not to be fulfilled at we get into winter this year as the price 'cap' goes up.

Re: BTB - It's back
Agreed, we don't know what the future has in store but at the moment things are only going to get tighter and tighter. It is amazing that we have so far been able to get anywhere near the amount we raised in recent seasons and has already beaten my accepted total of between £75-100k. My only nagging question would be is £120k going to be enough in these times compared to passed seasons (bearing in mind inflation etc.) to be competitive? For the record I have decided to pledge but only a nominal amount compared to the last time I contributed and I suppose every little helps.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Re: BTB - It's back
I think we could well reach or even better last seasons record, truly amazing. I think the club will only have been expected or budgeting for us to raise the £120k at best, so any excess over the target will give AA some more room to bring in targets for next season. It seems that every time I refresh the amount raised has increased.

Re: BTB - It's back
Make that £6654 needed. Another grand shot in within last 5 mins or so.
Re: BTB - It's back
Darlington fans really are something special. Well done to everyone of them who has donated so far. Absolutely bloody brilliant.
Re: BTB - It's back
Why is the target 120k Is there any reason to it?

Re: BTB - It's back
Wouldn't surprise me if it was pitched a little shy of what was hoped for given there is a psychological boost which comes from smashing it v falling just short.
Just shy of 500 pledges this year v last year with 712 suggest there is still a way to go.

I thought it finished tonight ?Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 8:55 pmI guess that is the maximum they expect the fans to raise given the current economic climate at the moment. Only just over £5k to go, we could reach the target this evening with a day to spare.
