Ben Hedley for me. I narrowed it down to him and Tommy Taylor. Both consistent but Ben just edging it because of his vast improvement during his time with us and the fact that he has performed so well despite playing so much of the time not in his favoured position. He's improved hugely as a defender and gets forward well too and is decent with both feet. A real asset to the club.

Has to be Tommy Taylor for me. Without him in goal, we'd be a lot further down the table.

Ben Hedley I think just edges it from Tommy Taylor, both done well.

He's good Pete but I personally don't rate him as highly as some on this forum. I reckon there's room for improvement in a number of areas of his game, and I'm looking forward to watching him stay with us and develop.

Interested to know what areas. Think he’s made 2 mistakes all season, which for a keeper where you get punished, is pretty good to me. 1 mistake was when we were already 2-0 down and he saved a pen a few mins late.

There's more to being a goalkeeper than saving shots though - which is what you're referring to when you say mistakes get punished.

Distribution and command of his area, communication with those in front of him. All important aspects of goalkeeping which won't necessarily lead directly to a goal conceded if he gets them wrong (I'm not saying these are weaknesses of his, I've no seen enough of him to judge).

If he didn't have room for improvement, he wouldn't be playing for us.
