NLN playoffs

Will these be broadcasted on tv?

Also who does everyone want to get promoted; for me it’s Kidderminster I think they are going to be dangerous next season if they don’t get promoted. Especially with that additional money they received from the cup from + plus their fan based/squad they already have. Also, out of all the clubs in playoffs (on par with York) they don’t deserve to be in this league with theit ground and fan base.

Brackley and Flyde money tap won’t be on forever with the crowds they get.

Chorley and Boston are one of them teams that’ll get playoffs one season and finish mid table next, so I am not bothered if they go up or not.

Finally York… it’ll just be funny if they don’t get promoted.

Fylde for me they bring fans, it's not a good place to visit and I think they will be well financed for a while yet - I'm not convinced there is any correlation with their crowds.

More than happy if Brackley go up. We’ve got enough long trips next year so would be happy with them out of the division.

My choice too, horrible away and Banbury in our division now.

You get no points for size of fan base or ground.

Every club is in this division on footballing merit

Brackley or Kidderminster, both long trips and potential overnight stay costs which we could do without

Has to be Brackley, one of our longest trips and they will spend to get promoted if they don't go up this season.

Or based on how much their owner is prepared to lose every year

Case to be made for each side, positives & negatives for example Fylde - nice for Will Hatfield, Brackley & Kidderminster both very long trips, Boston seems longer but not quite. Chorley a team of big cloggers & finally York - a bogey team for us but quite a decent away trip. Got to be Brackley for me

Yorkfan, our lass is a York season ticket holder, along with her sister and grandson, and she says the same about York, but anything is possible in the play off''s, look at Hartlepool the other year, Pools were second best for a fair bit of the game and missed the first 2 penalties, only for Torquay to miss there first 2 as well, so anything can happen. Although my life may be uncomfortable for a few months, it's a good job I like going to the pub😁

😂😂 I suppose it's the reason we follow these teams, for the fleeting moments of success, yet we always assume we'll be terrible!

Fylde and Brackley are the strongest teams involved and the way the playoffs are set up they both hold a strong advantage over the others, if I had to stick my neck out I'd go with Fylde.

It was deserved too, Chorley were not their usual selves but even their manager said afterwards that he couldn't get any instructions onto the pitch die to the volume of the fans. Brackley will be much tougher, we've never scored a goal there! I've been interested to read the debate amongst you all regarding Cassidy. From what I saw of him at York, yes he's physical but even that side of his game is not enough to justify his poor, poor goals return

Boston beat Kidderminster tonight.

So semi finals will be:

Brackley v York
Fylde v Boston

They've got themselves a good owner in the multi-millionaire businessman Allan Leighton who finances them to be consistently very competitive in this league. But they almost give the impression that the National League is a step too far after they reach the playoffs year after year. I'm sure the ground would need quite a bit of work should they finally take that big step. Maybe Leighton pays a bonus to get into the playoffs and then another one to blow it :D

Not really a disaster. Nobody will die if York get promoted.

That's four consecutive seasons (completed ones, obviously) they've failed in the play offs. They hang around like a fart in a space station.

Would not surprise me if they are doing what Bromley did in the NLS a few years ago, except they milk the extra revenue from the playoffs. Bromley on the other hand would start a season well, make themselves safe/flirt with the playoffs, and then drop off in the second half of the season and did this for a good few seasons until their chairman/board were satisfied that the club would be able to at least sustain themselves in the NLP. Now they are well established in the league above finishing in the top 10 relatively consistently.

Maybe not but in context, we’d lose approx £10k in gate receipts and miss out on a nice away day.

1st world problems granted.

I definitely don't want York to go up, we have few enough localish games as it is, we don't want to lose another one.

No, but you do get points for the size of your chairman's wallet.

York fans caused some damage on Weds night. To celebrate they trashed some seats, threw flares about and generally kicked off a bit with the Chorley fans.

What would have happened if they'd lost?

All gone wrong at AFC Fylde too. Boston managed a 2-0 away win and also a lot of allegations flying over their manager James Rowe, ex- Chesterfield boss. Spoiled Will Hatfield's move.
