Summer 2022

Will add in the squad list so far as I know some find it helpful to have that in one place:

Taylor
Martin

Hedley
Wheater
Lawlor
Sukar
Griffiths

Moke
Purver
Rose

Rivers
Mondal
Dos Santos
Lambert
Maddison

Hazel

In negotiations with Kallum Griffiths and Joey Hope (although Hope looks unlikely to return after the signing of Sukar).

Midweek friendliness are pretty useless propositions for out of towners that rely on public transport.

But good for getting the team prepared for the season - which is what they are all about.

A couple of years ago, we had a midweek pre-season friendly at Harrogate, we took 200 plus fans. Guiseley isn't much further, I could see us taking quite a few down there for this friendly.

It was nice to see an item on the regional news on BBC breakfast TV this morning and a short interview with DJ. Nothing new said but it's nice to get a publicity about our future plans.

Maybe the police don't like the prospect of hundreds of Darlo fans with hours of drinking time before the game PLUS Whitby Beer Festival. Or maybe they just don't like the idea of hundreds of Darlo fans with hours of drinking time at the seaside full stop. Mind, come to think of it The Angel probably opens at about 7am for a beer breakfast.

Guess they have their intel and have asked based on that. 30th July is when the Football League season restarts but unimaginable that Hartlepool / Middlesbrough fixtures would have any impact on Whitby.

Not necessarily you can always go to the match and have a few beverages afterwards. You might even appreciate the game more sober, although if we are as bad as last year maybe not.

Other things to consider which you couldn’t possibly be aware of. I’m obviously expressing my own personal circumstances Image

Updating the squad following yesterday’s one-in, one-out for those who find it useful. Currently on 16 players so I reckon we’re just a couple of players away now. Another option at centre back and possibly one more in central midfield and we’ll be there.

Taylor
Martin

Hedley
Wheater
Lawlor
Sukar
Griffiths

Moke
Purver
Rose

Rivers
Mondal
Lambert
Maddison

Hazel
Beck
