Well deserved , outstanding keeper.

My memory fails, what was the name of the keeper we got on loan from Harrogate?

Has continued to improve throughout his career and now gets his chance in the EFL at the age of 29. He has taken his time to get there but should be at the peak of his ability now.

He has been superb for us bar the odd very rare clanger, deserves his chance now, albeit it seems a strange move going to Harrogate

Why’s it strange?

They play league football, something he wants to do?
He will be paid higher too…

It’s strange because York are a big club and Harrogate are a part time pub team.

(Resentment )

Not resentment at all, and I'm not one of those York fans who thinks we are bigger than other clubs (we have plenty of self entitled ones) I just thought he would see they are on the slide a bit and not really on an upward curve

I understand your reasoning but at 29 perhaps he thought it was now or never for a chance of playing in the EFL.

Absolutely and I wish him all the luck, a real top person as well as player. Slightly concerned we only have one player signed up for next season and he's a youth teamer who has never made an appearance

Hmm, that concern should be more than slight if our experience this last season was anything to go by. Took us until Christmas to start playing like a proper team. In NL York will need to get off to a decent start with a settled team, otherwise you could be straight back down.

It’s a time of change for York. New stadium, new league, new goalie :D
