Signs for Kidderminster. Shame that…

I only saw him play once for us in person at the last game at Kidderminster so can't rwall7 comment on his overall ability. Looked from some of the earlier game highlights that he had a bit about him and clearly Kiddy have thought the same.

I do wonder though, had we signed him, would our Midfield options be slightly unbalanced? He seemed more of a ball player to me which is also the category I'd put Rose, Moke and Purver in. Think we need an option in our 4 cm's who can do the uglier side of the game. Can win the ball back and scrap with some of the more physical teams in the league.

Would have liked him on board but difficult with Kiddie being full time so probably a good move for him.Wonder if AA had tried to sign him or if he has other targets.

AA was definitely interested but Kiddie will have oddles of vibes from their cup exploits and I guess Lowe was also looking to stay full-time. Shame because I think he would have added some exrra physicality to the central midfield along with some goals which we don't have currently.

I'm not too disappointed by this, we already have Purver, Rose and Moke, we need someone different to those 3 with some pace who can break the lines and chip in with goals, Lowe wasn't this.

Prior to this season Lowe had 15 goals in 67 games for Shields and at FC United he had a goal every 4 games. You could see he has an eye for goal by what he did in our game at Gateshead.

You're making the mistake of thinking that goals in the tin pot leagues mean something.

The gulf between Evostik Premier and NLN is vast.

We need to be careful not to put too much pressure on Hazel because of this.

As for Lowe, I couldn't be less arsed that he's gone elsewhere. On to the next target.

Disappointed as thought he was exactly what we are missing in midfield, big, strong and gets forward and shoots . Really like all 3 of Rose, Moke , purver but very similar and can barely remember any shots on goal collectively.
Also think we need a physical, strong, big lad in there too as the 3 above are not that for sure.
Pleased so far this summer though with recruitment, chalk and cheese compared to early summer last year! and never gonna get everyone we go after.

Having lost Hatfield and Wheatley I think the priority has to be a tough tackling box to box type of player or possibly two. If we play a 4 4 2 formation with two wide men it is important to have a bit of a hard man alongside a playmaker in the middle of the park. Something along the lines of Scott and Turnbull seemed to be a good combination.

Craig Stoddard reporting it as Lowe moving 'into' full time football following a successful spell with us - wasn't he full time anyway and on loan with us?

Sorry we missed out with him. Very different player from Rose / Moke / Purver & gave us that option of changing formation on the pitch if things weren't working out. Like to see AA strengthen the squad by signing a bit of height / muscle / scoring ability.

Just read that Hereford's player of the season Ben Pollock declined a new deal and is leaving. Can play centre midfiekd or defence and used to play for Synners in Northern League. Wonder where he's off to.

Son of. I think he may have been linked to Boston previously.

Would imagine Wheats would have played alongside Jamie and AA will know of Ben from their Boro links so could be something in this.My doubt would be that we need an attacking and not a defensive midfielder, but over to Alun.

I know Wheats is no spring chicken but he would have been about 14 by the time Pollock retired! 🤣

He's very much a Teessider, just born in Bolton when his dad was playing in the north-west.
