Red Card Alert. ;)

Once the Chuckle Brothers have prepped him with their pre match chat.

Yes I was thinking the same. It should make the derby matches interesting. Apologies to those who don’t consider it our derby game, but of course it is.

Great signing for them - I don't know why it went wrong with us but good luck to him.

Agree if they get him fit and focused could be a really good signing for them.

I think the main problem for him last season was fitness. Covid pre-season knocked him sideways and then after that he never really looked fit enough, with some personal issues keeping him away from the matchday squad too. When you're a tough tackling midfielder and you're a yard off the pace unfortunately you become a red card waiting to happen, because you're forever chasing the game and you going into one tackle too late and you're off the pitch.

Bern and Jono will no doubt give him special training on tough tackling techniques.

It's not the tough tackling he needs to learn as he has always done that for us.
However, you can bet that he is taught how to moan on to the referee as often as possible...

Another of our former players has just signed for Shildon. Wilson Kneeshaw has been playing in grassroots football. Seem to remember him having a fair bit of skill and pace before suffering a bad Achilles injury.

Shame about Kneesshaw, played at at decent standard in the USA and thought he’d kick on here. His last club in England was Newcastle Independent who appear to play in the 13th tier! Hope he does well for Shildon.

Good luck to Joe, except for when he plays against us!
