Gareth Bale may be looking for a new club on a short term basis to maintain his fitness for the World Cup. Perhaps we could offer him a pay as you play deal

It's a little known fact that Rylan Clark (of TV fame) was on the books as a pro footballer with Colchester Utd as an apprentice. He is a talented midfield player and now at the age of 33 wishes to have one last chance of playing football in a proper team in a proper league.
At present he is in negotiations with DFC as to a one year contract and if this happens it will obviously bring a large amount of good publicity to the club.

Bit of a surprise regarding Sousa as he played 33 games for Grimsby last season and started in the playoff semifinal and final. Think it likely he will be snapped up by a National League team, but if not would be very welcome back at Blackwell Meadows.

Sousa must be gutted that Grimsby let him go. Just hope he has something lined up with another club, as he deserves a chance at a higher league than us but I would love to see him leading our line again.

It wouldn’t shock me if Sousa ended up at Harrogate Town or another League Two side willing to give a punt.
