R.I.P Gary Pearson

Sad news that our former midfielder Gary Pearson has died aged 45. Remember him as a very tough tackling midfielder in our last few years at Feethams and first year at the arena. RIP Gary

Yeah, just seen that. Very sad news, played a few years for us, tough tackling definitely sums him up, but I seem to remember him scoring a couple of goals a season too. Was part of the miracle escape team in our first arena season, I think.

I remember people used to call him ‘Break ya legs’. Definitely chipped in with a few goals as well. Yeah that was his last season with us, played in our last game at Feethams too.

Very sad news. I remember him well from that period - I enjoyed watching him play.

Sad news. Remember him starting out as a centre mid for us before dropping back and doing a decent job at centre half.
Very well known in north east non league football. RIP

Shocked and saddened by this, came to the club during a very turbulent period in the last few years at Feethams and the first season at the Arena but he was ever present.

Only 45, no age to go.

A friend of time told me about this yesterday as Gary Pearson played for one of my mates sons at York for a bit...

Such a shame to be taken from us so young, 45 is no age at all...My thoughts are with his family and friends
