Will be interesting to see how Winstanley plays today. It would be great to see an Academy youngster graduating to the first team squad.

Looks like a very attacking line up

Maddison , Rivers , Lambert, Mondal , Hazel all in the same starting 11

Only Moke as a recognised CM

Interesting no Wheater again - hope it isn’t anything too serious

No Griffiths or Purver in the squad either

No Rose as well. Not a major problem at the moment, and AA is right not to risk players who might not be 100%. Hopefully everyone fit to face Rochdale next week.

*Sigh*

AA has said Wheater has a minor knock and has been rested for a grand total of five days right at the start of pre-season. It’s nothing to be “concerned” about at this stage.

This need to whip the slightest thing into a catastrophe without waiting for confirmed facts is one of the draining things about social media.
Let’s be patient and wait for confirmed facts before questioning Wheater’s long-term fitness on the basis of five days of pre-season.

For the benefit of those raising nonsensical concerns, Wheater was at a family wedding today.

Yep, that's what I heard, and much like with Beck, he may have to wait awhile to get an answer
