St Peter's School Gainford

Post by darlopaul » Wed Sep 04, 2013 12:40 am

Just seen something in the Echo about St Peter's. I remember playing football against them in around 1980/81 when is I was in 3rd year at Carmel. I was sh!t scared for most of the game. The word "Intimidation" comes to mind.

Just out of interest I googled it (the school, not our match against them) and found this.

Make your own opinions about the film maker but I've already got mine. If you dig a little deeper into the film maker, I bet they are the same as mine.

By the way, can anyone who takes the time and trouble to watch the video, tell me where he's says he's staying cos I'm fukced if I can!

I played against st Peters a few times when I was at Central in 1980-83. I remember going there once to watch my older brother's year play and one of the st Peters lads broke his leg during the game. Although it was potentially intimidating, I enjoyed those games.

it was a school for delinquent boys, but that was mostly up to parent's discretion. If a parent didn't want their child(cost of keeping kids etc) then they could cart them off to this school until they were of working snaptube vidmate age.
