Stop the Calvery? Or do you mean Stop the Carvery? (now that would be a good DFC themed xmas song).

Ring Out Soltice Bells by Jethro Tull anyone? Or Millenium Prayer by Cliff?

I'm not serious.

Christmas wrapping tops it for me too, mint tune.

Jacko 5 version of Little Drummer Boy was a good un

And Little St Nick by Beach Boys

Wizzard, Slade, Pogues and that wierd Chris De Burgh spaceman song also worth mentions.

Nothing wrong with Solstice Bells by Tull.

My favourite is Fairytale of New York.

Actually, "of" isn't in the title.

Normally I would gloat, but somehow RATM don't seem worth it.

I don't mind any festive song, as long as it's not been sung by Cliff Richards the c***
DARLO FANATIC

Supporting DARLO might be a heartache but it's a heartache I chose to have.

Forget the song. Buy the album - Phil Spector's Christmas Album from 1963. The only chrimbo record.

Fairytale of New York for me.

and with apologies to OHDFC, Kirsty Maccoll and the Pogues . . here goes

It was christmas eve babe
In the drop zone
An old fan said to me: won't see another one
And then they sang a song
An ode to Neasham Road,
I turned my face away and dreamed of Feethams

Got on a lucky one
Won by a goal to none
I´ve got a feeling
This year´s for me and you
So happy christmas
I love you Darlo!
And I can see a better time
Where all our dreams come true.

We've got carvery and bars
But our best players have been sold
And teams go right through us
because our defence always folds
When George first took my hand on a cold christmas eve
He promised me league one was waiting for me
We had Houghton, we had Penney
And we ignored all the spending, when Abbott kept scoring we yelled out for more
The Arena was swinging as the Darlo kept winning
When Franz took the corners
They were knocked in by White

The boys from the West Stand behind the goal, singing for promotion
And the drums are beating out for Darlington

You´re a bum you´re a runt
You´re an old geordie ****
You left my club almost dead with £7million in debt
You scumbag you maggot
We could not afford Abbott
Happy christmas your arse this could well be our last.

The boys from the West Stand behind the goal don't sing for Steve Staunton
But the drums are still beating out for Darlington

We could have got somewhere
Well now its the Blue Square
Raj took my dreams from me
When he bought Darlo
He kept the club alive
And we might still survive
I can´t make it out alone
I´ve built my dreams on Darlo

The boys from West Stand behind the goal still dream of promotion
And the drums are beating out . . . for Darlington
