Just got round to watching Waking The Dead, it was a really classy TV series, far better than the inferior Silent Witness.

Been watching it since its inception, great series to watch, special effects are stunning if you like zombies and gore

It doesn't look dated either, apart from the odd car. It was a great shame when they called it a day.

I know it was confusing to have two major TV programmes that almost had the same name. Waking The Dead was first off.

Anyone else watch Game of Thrones and also read the books?

They're amazing but since the TV series is so well done I wouldn't say one is better than the other as I love them both. The books are much better for detail and back-story though and you'll enjoy them if you like the show.

But George RR Martin is such a slow writer that it looks like the TV series might overtake the books. There's only 2 books left but he's taken 4 years to write the next one (The Winds of Winter) but the TV series will have caught up to the books by the end of the next season (airing in April). I wish he'd hurry up!

"The Walking Dead" (season 5, part 2) and "Vikings" (season 3) have both just started on TV again, and they're both excellent.

Not done Vikings yet but Walking Dead is the current TV highlight of the week for me, also enjoyed the Following & Hannibal

I'm really enjoying the Swedish Wallander on BBC4 and to think I'm visiting Darlo_Swede in the summer, there seems to be a murder in every village. The crime capital of the world. :D :D :D
