That would have been an interesting set of answers to Kay Burley’s questions

Surely if there was another vote people should vote for what they want, if more voted remain it would mean that on reflection people think it would be better to stay in the EU.
Stop it the argument is over and you lost just accept it.

Not that there will be another vote, but I am convinced that if there would have been a vote, the leavers would have been very disappointed in the outcome.

It's great that democracy hasn't been undermined & we will be leaving the EU as was wanted by the majority of people who voted in the referendum. Democracy has survived in Britain.

Don’t be silly the first £350 million has been earmarked for a new super stadium for DFC as a reward for voting Conservative at the General Election.

Nice one OG I actually thought it was never really going to happen .
P.S. I will leave you to guess whether it's the new stadium or money for NHS that I am referring to !!!

I agree with you ED the EU will collapse inside 10 years, as nationalist governments will remove their countries from the EU, after populist votes by the public in their countries. The EU is as fated as the Euro. How on earth people expect so many diverse economies could be brought under one currency, is beyond me.
Why would you want a seat at the table when the roof fall in? I'd rather be outside watching the dust plume Nox Vidmate VLC

Emergency Budget the week after a Leave vote as the prime example.

If you are going to quote dodgy data, at least quote both sides.

Also, I've still never heard remainer saying what will happen when those nations around the fringes start dropping out? Note I didn't say "get thrown out", as the EU would be terrified of pulling their own finger out of the hole in the crumbling dam.
You have to understand the difference between the illegal collection and illegal use of personal data collected from hundreds of thousands of people versus someone (Osborne) claiming something that didn’t actually happen.

Coincidentally, today Leave have been fined a further £120,000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office for just such a data breach involving insurance customers targeted over Brexit and vice versa.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-politics-47087440

What makes you think that will happen? Any evidence? Why would any Remainer say that is going to happen if there’s no proof? Perhaps these countries all feel that in spite of the EU’s imperfections they prefer to be part of it?
Refusals to accept quotas of refugees, building their own fences in defiance of the EU
And you still believe all is sweetness & harmony?. Personally, when the roof falls in, I don't want to be round the table. I'd rather be at the end of the road & calling the emergency services.
Seems to me I said that some time ago.

I have been avoiding the news for what seems an age as I am sick of the Covid controversy and stupidity, but I did see this and also an earlier Trump statement where he in effect told them to do it.
14 days left of his reign. It is just wrong the amount of damage he can still do in 14 days. Apparently the procedure to remove him will take longer than 14 days. Just think, had he been in charge when we feared the button may be pressed !!!!!

If the process of removing him from office will take more than 13 days, can the removal of his thumbs be done immediately, just in case.

I have no knowledge of American legal system but surely he is guilty of inciting others to break the law. The damage he is doing to the reputation of his country is immense and the Chinese and Russians must be rubbing their hands with glee.

I am watching ITV programme on Storming The Capital and am appalled with what I see, a planned attack that the security services must have had Intel on, Trump lead, and not one black face in whole group so its racially led.
You can bet if blacks had been involved in the storming armed with guns it would have been a bloodbath.
I am really depressed about a country I want to visit but this has put me off, a gallows erected, what is the world coming too 😔😔😔
I am depressed with civilisation, just dont get it all, covid trump putin etc we are hell bent on destroying the world, whatever hasppened to peace, love and understanding ?

Things are in a bad way & there are no easy solutions. I can't see what impeaching Trump is going to do. It will just add fuel to the fire of his supporters. Just let Biden take over & start to build bridges, rather than Trump trying to knock them down. I just hope that this is the end of Trump & he isn't entertained as potential president again. In the future America must produce dynamic candidates, who can capture, energise & enthuse all Americans.

As usual Pete you are correct in what you say. I think a reason for impeaching Trump is that if successful he would be debarred from holding office in the future.

On the bright side, he is becoming more and more isolated. Mostly because of his own actions. Threw Mike Pence under the bus last week, hence the gallows, then two days later U-turned to throw his own supporters under the bus by decrying the very violence he instigated. Who's left? I can only think of Smiling Rudi and his family. Anyone offering odds on who's next to be turned on by the spoilt brat? :D

Ah the days of "flower power".
Remember how we were all derided by the press and TV as drug taking alkies and all a waste of time dole waller shower?
Government had to crush it. The thing may have ended war. Now, what a horrid thought that would be for finance.

Or am I just a sceptic?

Country Joe MacDonald said it best, unfortunately the new Donald didn't realise it wasn't meant literally.

Come on all of you big strong men
Uncle Sam needs your help again
He's got himself in a terrible jam
Way down yonder in Viet Nam
Put down your books and pick up a gun
We're gonna have a whole lotta fun
And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn, next stop is Viet Nam
And it's five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates
Ain't no time to wonder why, whoopee we're all gonna die
Come on generals, let's move fast
Your big chance has come at last
Now you can go out and get those reds
Good commie is the one that's dead and
You know that peace can only be won
When we've blown 'em all to kingdom come
And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for
Don't ask me I don't give a damn, next stop is Viet Nam
And it's five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates
Ain't no time to wonder why, whoopee we're all gonna die, hey
Come on wall street don't be slow
Why man this war is a go-go
There's plenty good money to be made by
Supplying the army with the tools of its trade
Let's hope and pray that if they drop the bomb
They drop it on the Viet Cong
And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn, next stop is Viet Nam
And it's five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates
Ain't no time to wonder why, whoopee we're all gonna die
Come on mothers throughout the land
Pack your boys off to Viet Nam
Come on fathers, don't hesitate
Send your sons off before it's too late
And you can be the first ones on your block
To have your boy come home in a box
And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn, next stop is Viet Nam
El Salvador, Nicaragua, Libanon, Angola
Ain't no time to wonder why, whoopee we're all gonna die
Oh yeah
