Re: Boost the budget 2021
With people being paid this Friday and Monday and news on the player front I thinks it’s really achievable to hit the target ands it’s going to be sunny and warm
Re: Boost the budget 2021
Just a thought. Will people be paid on the Tuesday with Monday being Bank Holiday or will it be Friday? If it's the former then would a 1 day increase until Tuesday be worth it? On the other hand that may interfere with the Direct Debit system.

People normally get paid early, ie on the Friday, if their pay date happens to fall on the weekend or bank holiday Monday, don't they?

Re: Boost the budget 2021
A few things to take into account for me
- Last year Bank Holiday was 25th May and covered an £8k increase in BTB.
- Final Day for the last two years have added 2019 - £14k & 2020 - £14k
- This year the final day is a Bank Holiday.
- Also £6.5k was raised on the Fri 29th & Sat 30th last year. So over £20k in the final three days.
- We have 475 investments at this point last year and ended on 707, this year we are on 407 currently - plenty of room to grow.
Re: Boost the budget 2021
That final point is a good one. Hadn't even realised that. I reckon we're on target to get to around £110k which is unbelievably good considering how long it has been since we actually played a football match and the impact the pandemic will have had on our fan base.super_les_mcjannet wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 4:29 pmA few things to take into account for me

I reckon we will hit at least £115k and have to remember we have reduced payments from 13 to 12 monthly and 56 to 52 weekly.

Hopefully the cup runs from last year and the remaining BtB money brought in has seen us alright and we are starting this year on a solid financial footing.

Currently on £87,435 from 420 investors. Top effort.
I’m planning on donating on the final day, as are a few others I am sure.

I'm the same, does it run out at midnight on Monday, as I'd hate to miss making a contribution.Darlofan97 wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 9:05 pmCurrently on £87,435 from 420 investors. Top effort.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Think it shut at midnight or not long after last year, year before it ran for a bit.
Make sure you get in early enough for those who are still to add.

Do it now then if it is that big a concern. Realistically the final day is gonna be promoted as the final day on socials isn't it.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 9:07 pmI'm the same, does it run out at midnight on Monday, as I'd hate to miss making a contribution.Darlofan97 wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 9:05 pmCurrently on £87,435 from 420 investors. Re: Boost the budget 2021
90k mark passed with 5 and a bit days to go. Hope many are going to make pledges in the next few days.
Re: Boost the budget 2021
I still believe that the target will be beaten I certainly think 125/ 135 is achievable, I keep my fingers crossed that this is the case.
Re: Boost the budget 2021
14k has just gone in to take it over 100k
Edit: seems to have gone now so must have been a mistake

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Beating last year when there are 1/13 less payments would be quite an achievement.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
£1400+ just gone in this morning, could that be a correction of the error that saw 14k yesterday?

Re: Boost the budget 2021
£94,724 from 450 investors now. There has certainly been an increase in pledges recently with c£7.5k contributed within the last 48 hours.
It’s pay-day for many tomorrow (last working day of the month). Hopefully one last push over this bank holiday weekend!

Re: Boost the budget 2021
4 days to go after tonight. 4 days previously brought in £23.2k last year and £20.2k in 2019.
A £20k increase takes us to £115k, I would imagine that will hopefully be a minimum.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
News of the massive signing today (Danny) has prompted me to make my pledge. Fortunately due to working from home for the last year and spending less on petrol and as regular Darlo sponsor Rodney Dale of Longfield Group has today given me an excellent quote for some work on my garden I am able to double last years amount to help with AA's recruitment.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Chatting to one of the directors of the DFCSG he made a similar point that a lot of the investors are older and with them not spending through Covid they have a bit more to play with so he is quietly confident we will reach target.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Now over £102k, looks like the target of £120k will be exceeded, fantastic effort by the fans.
