Re: Boost the budget 2021
Got mine in yesterday - luckily had some decent job news this week which has allowed me to match last season's contribution where otherwise I would've had to think hard about contributing at all.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Up over £108,000 now. Would be great to keep it ticking on for the next coupe of days and get it up over £110,000 towards £115,000 if we can. But even if no more money goes in its another phenomenal effort considering the circumstances and whats going on in the world.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
£14k has gone on the final day on 2019 & 2020 and we do have a number of people who like to add it in on the final day and build that crazy rise at the end. I don't see any reason why that would drop massively so I don't see a scenario where we are below £120k at the end.
At this point last year we had £114k in this year it's £109k so we are £5k down with reduced number of payments across the weekly/monthly payment plan.
Suggesting we will hit around £125k by COP Monday. Anyhow over to Darlo owners to finish the job.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Another one after May 29th last year we had 546 investments this year as of 29th May we had 532 so not too different really.
Only thing I would also add is that this year we had an extra day after launching a day early on Friday April 30th rather than the 1st May but this seems to be due to the black out in sports social media from Fri afternoon to Mon night from that opening weekend.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Wonder if the good weather this weekend could be a negative factor. People might be off out and simply forget to pledge although I accept that they have had plenty of opportunity already. Maybe some of the donations are spur of the moment last thing nobody really knows.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
I've been refreshing the BTB page all day watching the total creep ever closer to £120k, I have to go out in 10 mins and I leave the total at £113,160. What an absolutely sterling effort by Darlo fans worldwide in an attempt at bringing success on the field to our wonderful club.
Even if Alun Armstrong doesn't have enough 'vibes' to tempt his targets to join, or stay at the club it certainly won't be due to the ever generous support that we have. Nowhere else in non league football will a manager find the level of commitment that is found at Darlo.
Yes, I have contributed myself, as I have every season, increasing my direct debit from last year and shall continue to do so for as long as is financially viable.
Well done all!

Re: Boost the budget 2021
I will be more than happy to beat the £120K target.
I have done my pledge this morning though to be honest I don't really know why I waited to the last day. I was always going to contribute.

I think we can beat last years amount, which would be absolutely brilliant.

£127k now up.
5 hours to break last season’s achievement of £131,190.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Nothing much surprises me anymore about our brilliant fans. But just think about it for a moment 600 to 700 people love our club that much they are willing to part with an average of about £200 each to help bring in new players. Not just as a one-off but season upon season.
Re: Boost the budget 2021
£127. 683 with 4 hours 10 mins left to break last years total. £132 .020.Can you fans do it .I think so.
Re: Boost the budget 2021
Wow last year’s total is surpassed.

Re: Boost the budget 2021
Yes I've made my contribution, which is triple what I did last year. great to see that there has almost been 700 investors, which is close to last years numbers of investors.
Re: Boost the budget 2021
Nice of the Northern Echo to do an article about beating last year's total and giving constant encouragement over the last few weeks for Darlington residents to support their local club. Oh hang on...
Re: Boost the budget 2021
Better off with nothing in the Echo. All it would have done is generate a stream of comments under the article about “Once again Darlo have got the begging bowl out “by a bunch of fuckwit know nowts.
