Behind closed doors friendly

Post by JE93 » Sat Jul 10, 2021 5:45 pm

We played a behind closed doors friendly against Sheffield United U23's today. Ended in a 3-2 defeat. Seems like it was a pretty patched up team due to isolation due to Covid-19 apps pinging left right and centre.

Match report below.

Wonder if Dos Santos could be another from Tadcaster in the De Souza mould.

I reckon at least 5000 Darlo would have made the trip if this match had allowed spectators.

Unfortunately I don't recall seeing it advertised anywhere .
Wonder if plod put an end to it.
I was out to today with my new partner from Carlisle .

More notable for who was missing from our team. No Storey Breadon Hatfield Mondal or Rivers so a very makeshift team with new midfielder Purver playing in central defence. Tyrone ONeill played and described as on trial. Please sign him up before somebody else comes in for him.

Sorry forgot about our new full backs Griffiths and Smith also not available. Availability of players is going to be a massive issue this season with so many people testing positive for COVID at present.

Tyrone has been made an offer. Alun hoping to convince him to sign next week

True. Hopefully if they are all double jabbed then they won’t have to self isolate if they get pinged

Agreed that if the rules allow it for double jabbed people not to have self isolate it will make a big difference. However it will be a few weeks before all 20 somethings receive their second jabs.
