Re: Jake lawlor
Clearly as cover until Ellis is fully fit. Lots of movement today with Rose’s loan being extended and contracts for Ellis and Lambert.
The squad looks so much stronger than three months ago.

Re: Jake lawlor
Is thanking Raj a condition of the deal?

Maybe DJ had his fingers crossed

Re: Jake lawlor
That statement thanking Raj is a big PR disaster.

Re: Jake lawlor
Utter rubbish- Andy is correct. Arse licking the man who shafted our club does not outweigh a loan signing.
Re: Jake lawlor
Is DJ believes it is appropriate to thank the Pools Chairman that is good enough for me I trust his judgement.JasonDeVos wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:31 amUtter rubbish- Andy is correct. Arse licking the man who shafted our club does not outweigh a loan signing.
Re: Jake lawlor
It could of course be an ironic comment but much more likely DJ has no personal axe to grind with Singh and is simply being polite. Not bothered to be honest and in real life sometimes you have to do business with people you don’t necessarily like. Presumably we will be doing Poolie a favour by giving Lawlor game time and making a financial contribution towards his wages. If he plays well for us then a win for everyone.JasonDeVos wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:31 amUtter rubbish- Andy is correct. Arse licking the man who shafted our club does not outweigh a loan signing.
Notice in today’s Echo AA says he spoke to him in the summer and has stayed in touch so seems he was probably one of those players we failed to sign because he took up the offer of full time football. Patience may have been rewarded. Really can’t see any future for Brandon Taylor and Lexus Beedon now that Ellis Cooper and Lawlor have been signed.

Totally agree. Business is business you cannot live in the past.Old Git wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 12:15 pmIt could of course be an ironic comment but much more likely DJ has no personal axe to grind with Singh and is simply being polite. But remember- Football clubs are for life, not just for business.
Thanking the man who nearly killed our club does not sit well with me, and is an incredibly Ill-judged comment.

Re: Jake lawlor
Football clubs are for life as far as fans are concerned. When it comes to players managers and owners not so. Why would we not do business with Hartlepool just because their owner is Raj Singh? Maybe he has been really helpful in getting this deal done and gone out of his way to help us.

Bit of an overreaction from some in my opinion. Saying you’re grateful for help is not “arse-licking”.
He said thank you in an article online. DJ is merely being polite. Like it or not, we need to develop and maintain relationships with clubs, even if they are owned by Raj Singh.
I despise Singh as much as anyone, but to claim saying thank you to a club helping us out is “a big PR disaster” and “incredibly ill-judged” seems OTT to me.
Old Git and BGA have it correct in my view. There are bigger issues to be concerned about than saying thank you in a statement.

Re: Jake lawlor
Totally agree with Gramps here, if this move is for the benefit of our football club then this outweighs any grievances against Raj.It would be only natural for DJ to be courteous towards Raj if he has helped to get this deal over the line.Darlogramps wrote:Bit of an overreaction from some in my opinion. Re: Jake lawlor
Not that I particularly have a problem with it, but do we publicly thank the owners of all clubs we loan players from? Maybe we do - hadn't noticed.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.
