BTB - It's back
Back again, the much needed BTB.

I will be renewing mine, thankfully in a position to be able to do that no problem - to be honest it's just baked in as a monthly direct debit now.

Done!
Re: BTB - It's back
Have just cancelled mine.....then re-done it to hit the 25 a month mark, as my lad's been badgering me for a new replica shirt, so the special edition one will do him just fine.
Re: BTB - It's back
I'm never that clear on how to renew - how do you just let your standing contribution roll on?

Re: BTB - It's back
Depends how you completed it. If it's Go Cardless then the Direct Debit will end with your final payment and you will need a new one set up.
My final payment is the 8th May, so I normally set the next one up after that date and to start on 8th June this year.
If unsure though email boostthebudget@dfcsg.co.uk
Re: BTB - It's back
Cheers. Hope we match last year's tally. Such an important scheme for so many reasons.
Re: BTB - It's back
Just renewed mine. Done with a couple of clicks on Your Club website. Over £10,000 pledged already so off to the usual flying start.

Re: BTB - It's back
I have mine on a Monthly Standing Order. I don't have to renew it, it just runs on until I instruct the bank to stop it.

Re: BTB - It's back
I've tried through Your Club website, and it keeps bouncing back "unable to create payment" any ideas? My account has plenty of ready funds in it by the way.
Come on Darlo!

Re: BTB - It's back
I have now received three e-mails from my bank saying that a direct debit has been set up! I hope that BtB doesn't take three payments a month from my account! Any thoughts?

Depending on the date you set them up for, (a D/D can take 7-10 days to show on your account).MikeinBlack2 wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 11:55 amI have now received three e-mails from my bank saying that a direct debit has been set up! Go into your online banking. select "more actions". then "manage D/D's ", and see how many there are. If they have set 3 then just cancel 2 of them. It really is easy.
If they have already been set up and taken just contact your bank and tell them it was accidental and they will recall 2 of them for you.

Done, first time for 2 seasons. I think it's a big ask to get our target but every little helps. Here's to next season. C'mon Darlo.

The club should contact Carlsburg to sponsor, probably the best supporters in the world.

Great to see that we have reached just over £30k or 25% of the target.

Put mine in today but the wife did suggest with increased costs I should think twice so I’ve put in half of last years donation as I’m really worried about gas & electric it’s gone from £110 per month to £260 per month- gulp - I’m with Octopus Energy
Re: BTB - It's back
Don’t feel bad these are tough times and everyone is having to make difficult decisions about what they spend money on. The fact you are still doing your bit is commendable and the last thing anyone wants is for fans to overstretched themselves financially.

Re: BTB - It's back
This has slowed up some bit since it's relaunch and I think 120k is going to be tough to hit in these harder times. I think getting any commitments between the 75-100k mark would be some achievement and maybe a more realistic target this time around. Wish I could contribute but haven't been able to since 2019/20.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"
Re: BTB - It's back
Out of interest how many pledges did we get last year? Going to pledge later in the month,
hoping I can increase my payment this year.

Re: BTB - It's back
It's probably a bit early to judge where it will end up. It's heading towards a third of the total after just a few days and there's always been a stampede on the run-in. Plenty more will be coming forward despite the hard times.

I’ll be doing mine later in the month once I’ve got some birthdays and weekends away out the way.
Re: BTB - It's back
This happens every year in fact it happens anytime we do fundraising for anything. Would have to go back over previous versions for the detail but a surge / trickle / surge is the tried and tested route.real_darlo_85 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 4:52 pmThis has slowed up some bit since it's relaunch and I think 120k is going to be tough to hit in these harder times.
I have 1200 to stick in but I already planned to time it tactically so it will nudge us towards a milestone, hoping it acts as encouragement for someone else who is on the fence with a smaller amount to take us over...

Re: BTB - It's back
I had it confirmed today that my direct debit for BTB 21/22 will be taken out of my account on June 1st and any new pledge would start from early July. So any pledge made by direct debit for last season's BTB will have to renewed for BTB 22/23.
