Erico sousa
Erico sousa
As erico is now a free agent what would be the chance of getting him back ,alun said when he left that should it go pear shaped he could get back intouch I seem to remember. Would erico be prepared to come back. Might be a good move if we can get him in.
Re: Erico sousa
Certain that AA will have kept contact and would want him but I’d be surprised if he doesn’t have a few clubs (full time & part time) that are interested

Re: Erico sousa
Sousa is the longest of long shots.
Of course we'd be interested, but I imagine that he'll have many better offers, considering that he seemed to do well at Grimsby last season. I'm surprised that they released him really.
A more realistic target would be Joe Leesley, but Boston want him back.

Re: Erico sousa
If he signs, will he want to be away again at the first opportunity?
Personally I like a settled team, comings and goings can unsettle things mid season.

Re: Erico sousa
Id be happy to see Erico back for a season, even if he was only using us as a stepping stone, if im honest id say Maddison is doing the same and you cant blame either for wanting full time football, as long as we benfit from it then im happy

Re: Erico sousa
I see your point. On checking his Wiki page it turns out he is older than I thought he was, a good offer at our level might settle him down a bit.Heaton out wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 9:45 amId be happy to see Erico back for a season, even if he was only using us as a stepping stone, if im honest id say Maddison is doing the same and you cant blame either for wanting full time football, as long as we benfit from it then im happy

Re: Erico sousa
Imagine a front-line of Lambert/Maddison/Sousa/Beck/Hazel.
Holy fuck.
Holy fuck.
Re: Erico sousa
AA said he had a couple more offers in, and implied they were further up the pyramid, so wouldn't be surprised if one was Sousa. Beck eventually took our offer when he didn't get fixed up with another club.
Re: Erico sousa
I believe Sousa has knocked back an offer from York ( higher league , full time and likely offer much more wonga than we could ) as well as other offers so wouldn’t be holding your breath waiting for him to sign for us .
Re: Erico sousa
You believe or you know. There’s a big difference.
Re: Erico sousa
We will see what happens until pen put to paper on a deal somewhere there is always a chance. Olrad unless you can be unequivocally certain that Darlington won't have a chance I stay confident we have a chance. Time will tell.
Re: Erico sousa
I'm not convinced if Sousa were return.
We became very predictable when he played (just give it to Sousa). We could play better footy than rely on this tactic.
I also got tired of watching taking on the same player about two or three times before doing something (by that time the other team got back into a block of 4-4-2) or he would lose it.

Re: Erico sousa
That's funny, no one else saw that. He was outstanding.
What you describe sounds more like Jarrett Rivers.
