Mansfield Fans Photos

mansfield fans photos

We finally bring you Les Hodges fans photos from Saturday.  I try to string out the stories a bit so there is something different on the site most days.  So rather than whack the match photos, match report (if we have one) and fans photos onsite all at once I thought it would be better to leave the fans photos till the Monday night.

So here they are!

Well done to every single one of you. To have over 150 Quakers, in the middle of a recession when there's precious little money around, watching us play at the lowest level in the league table in our clubs history ( well since about 1900) after travelling 150 ish miles is a big fuckingg achievement. Or your'e all fuckingg mentalists, either way well done.

So Minsterowl was there after all

Good to see that the Sunday Sun appears to be using Les's photos, 4 of them in Sunday's paper. That's pictures of the action on the pitch, rather than off it.

I'm guessing you're in the last picture, top left.

The recession ended at the back end of 2009.

In fact the number of people in employment grew at the fastest rate since records began in the three months to July, hardly a sign of the UK being in the middle of a recession!

It seems that you are of the "ok my job is safe/not at risk brigade", this country is still in deep recession, the cuts to be annouced tomorrow will make things much worse than it is now.

to be fair we are officially out of recession and have had about 8 months of continual (if gradual) growth hence increased employment, however I think all that is about to change. About 260 odd Darlo fans there on Saturday was excellent support but I think away attendances will be affected over the next year or so at least as we have less disposable income. Those that go away have either escaped the worst of things or saved hard
