With snow fall and icey temperatures hitting Darlington on Friday, the match itself was underthreat once again.  After failing the early pitch inspection the pitch finally gave up a fight and the referee cautiously gave the ok for the game to go ahead hoping that once play starts the ground would soften.

Mark Coopers men put up a good display against the league leaders and but for some poor finishing and some great goalkeeping from the wombles stopper, we should have taken all three points.  Curtis Main was guilty of missing the best chances whilst Bridge Wilkinson saw an effort superbly saved and new signing Adam Quimm rattled the crossbar with a powerful header.

Les Hodge captures the days action.
