Campbell Joins Terriers

Striker John Campbell has left the club and joined up with Northern League side Bedlington Terriers.

Campbell has falied to impress since joining the club last season but did show signs of potential.  But a conflict of personalities with former manager Mark Cooper left him sidelined for most of this season.

He has featured again in the squad since Coopers departure, but again has been guilty of wasting a few chances.  But ironically his last game for the club against Telford last Saturday was possibly one of his better games.  Closing the opposition down and being a menace, but as a striker it is goals that count and they have been rare.

Campbell could be the first of many to leave the club as Raj Singh has told all the players they can leave if they find another club.  Michael Brough has already left as he was on a monthly contract whilst rumours are Ben Purkiss and Nialle Rodney have returned to their parent clubs after their loan spells were ended.

Other more worrying rumours are that Greg Taylor is about to join Luton Town and Liam Hatch Fleetwood.  I would imagine they are high earners, Hatch especially, but this scene is reminiscent of the Houghton era and is not nice.

The next few weeks are going to be interesting, as fans we can sit back and watch what is happening.  If Darlo go I will not be following any other team.  So come on my Darlo, pull through this.  AND if we do we need a long term strategy, we can't be having this every year.  Just how on earth do other teams manage to survive on similar attendances to us?
